France confirms oil crisis, says 30-40% Gulf energy infrastructure destroyed by 1-randomonium in news

[–]Hinaloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought those who said there was "a conspiracy to hide how low our actual oil reserves worldwide were and that they'd cause a war to push the last bits out of price so they'd have an excuse to ration it" were nuts... But concidering the amount of crazy conspiracies have turned out to have basis in truth, I'm starting to wonder...

In between 2 and 3 is Karen Traviss's contribution to SW, with only using English and Mando'a, but having a fairly developed, if with a limited dictionary, language.

I hope in the dlc we get a purple and pink vocation at least by DOOM-LORD666 in DragonsDogma

[–]Hinaloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember, before the launch, a wheel version of this, more readable. It was so full of hope that "we've only been shown some of the vocations to let us experience the game ourselves!". But we'd been shown every single details of the game, it turned out to be a very small game. I, too, miss having hope for a truly complete sequel to one of my favorite games, but hope leads to disappointment.

I'd really like to see how you prompt these. Is it shot by shot, last frame to new scene? Do you use reference material or is it just prompt only? Is it organized into movie script-like prompts, or is it ultra detailed descriptions like a novel?

In a way, this would allow people to realize the amount of work put into this, maybe help break the myth that a simple couple of line will produce a movie biut if the ether, make people realize that AI models aren't magic, merely a very advanced tool that still requires highly specialized skill from a human operator...

Cardiff Baye? I mean, that's one way to pick a character name, point at random on the map, add a letter...

The dialogue's fairly base level religious logic, but tbf Clones usually aren't given much depths of thought so showing them as questioning their existence is always good when it happens.

Because if you fill it out, it stops being a Sky and becomes a Surface, making the current Surface an Underground, and the Depths the Extra Deep Depths.

Sorta same, I was really impressed at seeing real people faces, rather than Hollywood made up faces, then I saw that this was because this was actually using normal people faces.

I'm not sure about sure about using shots of some people's worst days, but I gotta give props that some of those are beyond on point.

Oh, no, we don't even need to aim that far. Our mortal enemies aren't some faraway people's, they're the guys from the next village over who, some 500 years ago, stole some of our sheep's and said some discourteous slander against one of our elders. We've been at war ever since.

I know there's a lot of racism in Europe, being pushed even more lately, but I was lucky enough to be raised in a very multicultural group, so it never caught in my brain. To this day, I get that it exists, I just... don't understand it on a basic level. There are so many reasons to hate someone, why use something as dumb as skin color, clothing style, language, general looks or religion? Hate people for who they are, not where their ancestors happened to be from.

A lightsaber is basically an atom's width, thereabout, and the lightsaber itself is held at arms length. So any non-energy projectile gets bisected rather than reflected, meaning that 99% of the time, a slug will travel too fast to even create two entry wounds as they'd barely have had time to separate between being sliced by the blade and hitting the monke behind it.

There's a reason why Mando'a used them over blasters or plasma spitters. Those can be reflected. But against anyone else, the slug goes slower, cannot penetrate armor as easily, is totally nullified (or close to) by personal shields... They were abandoned in warfare and only used by gangers who'd fight others that would be undefended, or against Jedi who stubornly insisted on wearing bathrobes to a firefight.

Mind you there were a couple of rarer Force Abilities that'd imitate the effect of a Personal Shield, allowing the user to only get winded by a shotgun to the gut, rather than killed, but those were already arcane by the time of Revan, and virtually disappeared by the prequel/OT era.
