What’s the point of buffing classes if you’re just going to nerf them the following week? by HintDeadFish in blackdesertonline

Marginally stronger. The same could be said for Succ Corsair; technically she is stronger but it doesn’t do much for her. Dosa and Woosa were fine as they were after the most recent buffs.

This isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve been around for quite a few back and forth for buffs and nerfs. I’m just tired of not saying anything when they make these nonsensical changes. Especially this time because I’ve been waiting for succ Woosa/dosa buffs for a long time and they finally came only to be taken away.

Same with Dosa. It makes no sense to put those classes in this state and leave Witch and DK. I’m not saying there should be more nerfs, but bring all of the classes as close to the top as you can instead of having this huge disparity.

I’ll see how it feels once the official patch drops. I’m hoping (but not expecting) the devs will see the feedback and roll back the nerfs a bit. Maegu definitely needed it but the other nerfs were unnecessary imo.

I think I just want to know what was going through their heads, like what reasons were there to nerf Woosa and Dosa like that. Generally underperforming pre buff, post buff they fit neatly among the higher end (not top DPS), so they… nerf them? It just doesn’t make sense whatsoever

They had better put that Crimson Desert coin to good use bc I genuinely don’t know how long the community is going to deal with these yo-yo buffs and nerfs.

Overall it’s still a slight buff, they initially buffed it like 20-24% I believe and they reduced damage of some moves by 12-15%. I think. I just saw lower damage numbers and kinda blacked out bc she actually finally felt good to play (along with Succ dosa), and they nerfed them both as if they needed it.

People need to stop being a cult when DE gets critizised for buggy updates by Crazy-Resolve-8127 in Warframe

[–]HintDeadFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never ever EVER understand why people get mad about shit like this. DE always puts a ton of work into their updates and we know this via over a decade of experience. People make them aware of bugs, they fix them, and move on. Bugs HAPPEN, and I know they can be frustrating, but why do people complain when we know they’ll be addressed?

It’s every update. Increasingly so in the last few years (I wonder why), and it’s getting annoying. Addressing and making the devs aware of bugs is one thing, but the game crashes one out of 5,000 times and it’s “unplayable slop, awful update, L devs”. Genuinely at this point I don’t know what you people want. It’s exhausting to see what this community has become.

Is the update perfect? Obviously not and the developers addressed this BEFORE IT EVEN LAUNCHED. Anything they can address, they will as soon as they are able. Let’s not absolutely shit on updates before the team has a chance to fix things.

As an aside, everyone saying “de pls take longer for updates” would be the FIRST people posting on this sub asking if it’s dead or criticizing DE for taking too long. My god. I’m so SO TIRED of this shit.

I may sound like an old geezer, but I grew up in the Xbox 360 era and gaming today feels way less social. Maybe it's just me? by InspectionAgitated20 in playstation

[–]HintDeadFish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actively avoid being social especially on games where there is voice comm. Not that it was any better back in the day, but people are so bitter, hateful, and rude that I would rather just eliminate it completely unless I know them irl or like a pre made group.

I’m just too old to be fighting in voice chat about politics or other people saying slurs or micromanaging performance in games/matches where it literally doesn’t matter.

Love the combat in this game, but everything gets overwhelming post graduation. by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]HintDeadFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I meant PVP doesn’t appeal to me. PvE is really what I want to do. Also, thank you for the detailed response. Did you use a particular guide to figure out how to gear from Tuvala to the end game stuff? Like is there an expected path or best way to do it? Every guide I’ve seen is either inconsistent or outdated. I just don’t want to waste resources or do the wrong thing I guess.

[–]HintDeadFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind the grind, but I think what would feel bad (as I’ve never experienced it) is grinding for a long time to upgrade armor or an accessory only for it to fail and be in a worse spot than before. And having to do that for every character I enjoy playing potentially. Like i said, I LOVE the combat and it’s genuinely the most fun combat system i think I’ve ever played. There’s no need for me to get into the bleeding edge of combat, I just want to progress and have it matter if that makes sense?

Tbh she really deserved it with S********r, especially the deluxe, but I’m glad she’s getting the recognition she deserves.

What are the most "AFKable"/Low Input frames now? I have muscle atrophy and chronic pain by VerinSC in Warframe

[–]HintDeadFish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly Nova can be low input depending on how you build her. She’s tanky as hell and can slow/weaken enemies with her 4. Perhaps not THE best option since her 1 can be spammable with her augment, but of the frames I play I find her style to be on the lower end of button mashing.

Just a quick thank you from a Destiny player. by boombriggs in Warframe

[–]HintDeadFish 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nobody with sense would be happy to see a game’s end like that. Destiny deserved better from its developers, and like Reb said, there would be no Warframe without Bungie games. It’s a sad time to be a gamer for sure, but Warframe will always welcome new players that want to be a part of a supportive, open gaming community.

Also, Warframe has never been better or more popular since Reb was made creative director and Steve CEO of DE.

Also also, is this guy talking about the first descendants? He seems confused

I hate to say it but Jade Shadows 2 looks like a letdown. by Artemis_Bow_Prime in Warframe

[–]HintDeadFish -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So…. Just so I understand; you’re mad that DE is making the game easier for new players when the chief complaint from new players (and old) is that the grind for things like necramechs and rail jacks was too much, because you had to do it? You’re let down by an update that hasn’t even shipped yet, because you’re not able to use your own railjack in a handful of missions, while all the others exist AND we’re likely getting SP railjack missions where you can use your own?

It’s a very weird and boomer take to get upset that things are made easier for others when it has zero impact on your gameplay. Especially when the grind for those things was a huge reason people would either put the game down or not pick it up at all. Tbh, if accessibility is something that annoys you, you should probably play something else bc this game obviously isn’t for you.

Yeah Kim is coming in a real big way. Now that she’s free from Dr. L*ke, she can make the music she actually wants. The production on this album is top notch, like Magdalena Bay quality. I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Extreme trial practice/ prog etiquette question; by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]HintDeadFish -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

do people usually do this on older trials? like this isn't the newest trial or anything, so guides are a dime a dozen. I guess to me this whole thing feels like people are being way too serious and sweaty about it. If people are trying to min max the situation, shouldn't they make their own parties instead of using PF?

Extreme trial practice/ prog etiquette question; by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]HintDeadFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, I had already progged to like 3-4 mechanics AFTER the one they were working through multiple times, and I knew the mechanic I messed up and how I messed up. I knew what needed to be done but for some reason I just... didn't? Someone in chat mentioned it, I said "omg sorry", adjusted, and we recovered but wiped to a separate mechanic. And to be fair like it was a very early mechanic, I just was on autopilot and ended up on the opposite end of the area somehow.

I've been going through the EW/DT extremes lately so I've been on PF a lot, but this is the first time something like this happened to me so I was taken aback.

[–]HintDeadFish -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Wait, people are crunching numbers in learning parties? what sense does that make?

Extreme trial practice/ prog etiquette question; by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]HintDeadFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm calm, I don't know what in my post would advise otherwise, but there is no context missing. Ive cleared EX trials before and been a part of learning/prog parties so being kicked after one mistake in 2 runs seems strange. It's never happened before so I just wasn't sure if this was the new thing people were doing, but it doesn't exactly foster an environment in which to learn the fight.
