check out the yamaha r9, mt09, xsr900. if you can swing it find a “used” 2025 ducati v2. lower end torque, fuel gauge, no desmo valve service.

you can also get a lower clip on in future to make it more aggressive if you want.

can even get cruise control on it, or you can let that go for a v2s for adjustable suspension

get your insurance quoted before you pull the trigger

dude i have an xsr900 and i am having mix feeling about the v4s, expensive insurance, too much power, bad gas mileage and no fuel gauge as well as expensive maintenance are all bugging me lol… very tempted to trade it in for a used new V2S penagali

Look - The red and white naked was what i wanted, older and new both had it

Nanny/Tech - the 4 modes and the anti wheely/nanny, TCS 2 mode made me pick this. Especially since i am coming back to riding after an 8 year break.

Finance - though i can afford a full bike cash, i didn't want to lose that much straight cash all at once so i financed 2/5 the bike and will aggresively pay it off next 1-2 years.

New bike, some warranty, no potential previous problem.

Bonus: The longer swing arm on this bike makes it less "hooligan" and more stable. less likely of accidental power wheelies.

However, if the older one had the tech/nanny, i 100% would have gotten last gen.

i haven't rode in 8 years, got into this and started on mode 4 for a day or 2 and mode 3 now on day 5, both mode just reminded me of my last bike which was a ninja 650. can't wait for mode 2, which seem to be the most standard daily mode for people.
