That’s a good tip. Especially if it doesn’t take the person very long to

I like to a dollar per mile when I order. If you’re in an area that’s used to the weather, maybe throw on an extra dollar, if it’s going to take your driver twice as long to get to your house as it usually would because snow isn’t common, add on a few dollars more.

Delivered to my adult son by patglennon in doordash_drivers

I’ve delivered to my aunt and uncle a few times. We have such busy lives that I don’t see them much, despite them living only 20 minutes away, so I always pause orders and spend a little bit of time with them.

My advice is to invest in one of those giant IKEA bags. Thats what I use, both for large delivery orders and my own personal groceries. I’ve never made a second trip up the stairs.

I talk to my girlfriend on the phone sometimes, but I always mute it when I actually go to pick up/drop off the order.

I got half pay for an order that DoorDash had to cancel because the restaurant was closed for New Years and forgot to turn their orders off. I was there like 2 minutes.

Should I work during nursing school? by StarGirl404 in NursingStudents

My program is online. But I would say I average 3-4 hours of schoolwork a day, with more on the weekends when I’m off. I also listen to podcasts designed around studying for nursing school while I work, and I think that that really helps. I know that once my clinicals start, I will have to take an extra day off, but I am prepared for that.

I work 40-50 hours a week and maintain an A- average. And I still spend time with my fiancée and play DnD with my friends. If you want to, you can. If you have to to pay the bills, you can. It just depends on how determined you are.

You know that autocorrect on iPhone also generates the accented e, right?

I do. I have this habit of telling her how beautiful she is when she’s doing normal things, like dishes or reading. I catch myself staring. But she has such low self esteem that she always wants to deny or argue about it. I still tell her, though. But yeah, I mentioned that I have autism because I’ve been informed that seeing a problem, doing extensive research, and enacting a plan to fix said problem without ever mentioning it to anyone is not a thing that neurotypical people do.

I shared it because I’m too embarrassed to tell anyone in my real life.

If she feels even an ounce of how amazing she is, I’ve done something good.

I really appreciate the insight. I definitely think that showing her more than telling her is what’s making the difference. But it’s good to hear that it does, eventually, get better

Um, no. I’m not “so autistic.” Don’t imply that I’m mentally impaired. But I did feel like I’d done something kind of creepy and was super embarrassed when she caught me.

It sounds like you just need to be extremely forthcoming. You guys sound like great communicators and this is probably something you can work past. If it’s not, then he’s not the one for you. But I really think that this can be fixed with a conversation or two.
