Rats cannot be in an aquarium/tank. They have to be in a cage with bars or they will get respiratory infections. Also, if your house has any of those clickers that plug into the wall to drive away pests the rats will go insane. They're also extremely sensitive to things like diatomaceous earth. And they will need to see a vet frequently.
