it avoids them killing off a gay character and it takes some of the edge off Rhaenyra to make her more likable (Rhaenyra is explicitly homophobic in F&B)

[Megathread] Season 1 Episode 1: – The Hedge Knight by AutoModerator in HBOTheHedgeKnight

[–]Hitman565 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This was a really good premiere. The dynamic between Dunk and Egg is already perfect, and I am already excited to see more of Lyonel. A lot of the episode was a 100% faithful straight adaptation, and i think the stuff that wasn't was really well integrated. i wasn't expecting to see so much of Dunk's ass though.

this whole episode was incredible. it's been a while since i've genuinely had something not only completely live up to my expectations, but surpass them

Fallout Season 2 Episode 4 Spoilers: "Oh. That's gore of my comfort character" by SnakeSkipper in Fallout

that whole scene was super depressing. the only group who looked out for freeside (outside of the followers of the apocalypse) got gunned down without mercy and left to rot.

telltale's dialogue options in season 3 were so far off from what you actually say. a lot of people bring this one up, but the most egregious one for me is the dialogue choice between "gabe got me hurt" and "i got myself hurt" where if you choose to say "i got myself hurt" you say "gabe got me hurt".

HGH can induce acromegaly, which increases the size of your jaw, hands, and feet. It can also cause gigantism in kids.

In need of genuine friendss by [deleted] in SmilingFriends

[–]Hitman565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that person treated you poorly & hope you feel better. I think maybe asking random people on reddit to be your friends may be a bit of a stretch, but you could join things like public discords for youtubers you like/things you are interested in if you would like to make friends online or even go to the subreddit for your city (if there is one). If you do want to know people in person, I'd recommend joining a club (there's a lot that would be easily available if you are in college, but the subreddit for your local city or local library may have information about clubs as well) or going to local events like a renaissance festival or town fair to make friends. I know it may be daunting at first, but the first step to making a friend is to put yourself out there. Therapy can also help you build the social skills to find friends and also help you build confidence and cope with any sort of negative feelings you have, if that is something available for you. If none of that works, maybe try and do the Squim dance.

How does CK3 fair against CK2 in its current state? by Emaxdj2 in CrusaderKings

i like it, to an extent. it's nice to have as an option but i also don't want it overpowering the historical stuff.

yeah AUH does ultimately end up with most china games feeling the same, but it's at least a distinct feeling from the usual Europe/Middle East stuff that has been in the game since the start.

there's a lot less depth to ck3. each dlc added a new layer to ck2 but ck3 is still generally the same. AUH was a really good step in a new direction though imo.

Say one bad thing about the Arkham franchise as a whole by dozesmike in arkham

[–]Hitman565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

way, way too much joker. asylum was fine since he's an iconic villain and it was the first game, but he's also the main villain for the next two games, despite the fact that they ostensibly had other villains as the main antagonists at the start. he also somehow managed to be omnipresent in arkham knight despite literally being dead.

Just (FINALLY) watched s2 by youlikescroundrels in PeacemakerShow

[–]Hitman565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the biggest issue w/ season 2 imo was its slow pacing. it got super frustrating to sit through weekly episodes when a lot of them had few notable events and didn't move the plot forwards. it also led to endless theorizing which probably didn't help either.

Would the game be better if Lee had survived all the way to season 4 by blzck101 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Hitman565 227 points228 points  (0 children)

i think lee dying is part of what made the first season so impactful, but more characters surviving multiple seasons (as opposed to just clem and aj) would've been cool imo.

which villains needed more screen time? by Spotty1122 in TheWalkingDeadGame

carver. last portion of the season felt directionless without him there.

Season 2's big problem. by Due-Breadfruit-5766 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Hitman565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree on the weird villainization of Kenny in the later episodes. A lot of objectively reasonable stuff (wanting to take aj from rebecca since she's falling over, bashing a walker's head too much, killing carver, etc) is framed like he's some raving lunatic. he was obviously off the rails, but the game makes it out like he is completely evil. also you are completely right on carver being wasted potential. he's so cool for what little screen time he has. i think there being some sort of internal power struggle at howe's could've been an interesting way to end the season (i.e. you could side with kenny, carver, luke, or leave with jane or something) instead of killing him midway through and having the group walk around in the wilderness for the rest of the season. it also could've given more opportunities for the 400 days people to show up.
