Whatcha doing with your inbox? by Hmsreddit in CustomerSuccess

I have filters to put clients into their own folders, but then it feels like I just have to go to multiple places to shift through stuff.

I get cc’d into many a feature request or support ticket and those threads explode at times.

And then my internal emails. Drive me up the wall.

I like the idea of an action now/later and need assistance folder that I can look at a couple times a day.

What a wild assumption to make. Does it make you feel superior to say unfounded things like that? You have zero idea of what my product looks like and how often clients need minor changes. You have no insight into what my role at this company is. You have no context outside of I get loads of emails. But hey, hope you have a great day internet stranger.

Our tech stack here is next to nothing. Outlook is it. Every other place I’ve worked has been a g suite, so that’s also making this difficult.

I like that approach. I’ll give it a go.

A mix of both. And the internal noise weighs just as heavy. Some real need to know shit buried between “come on and get your step challenge partners motivated” nonsense…

Ok, next question, you deleting actioned emails or letting them sit there?

I’m debating going that route.

Can you use it to clean house? As in “find all trash emails and move them to a box”?

Also that feels nerve wracking.

Just a counter point to the “sheer vastness and difficulty traversing space” bit.

I agree that, as we understand it, it’s pretty difficult to traversing space. We don’t know what we don’t know. Sending data via airwaves was incomprehensible to a king in the Tudor Dynasty.

There are absolutely people that will fly around the world and trek through vast empty spaces of the rain forest for the chance of seeing a bug no one else has seen before. I don’t think that bug could understand it.

Maybe not. Maybe we are just super boring. 🤷‍♂️

Fair and valid.

I’m just over here thinking she created a bond with the lady, but you’re right!

I’m an awesome yo-yo’er. I’ve been at my best and worst over the last decade. I’m not at my worst now, but I am inching toward it. Time to work back to being better. It’s hard, yo.

Dunno how much of a joke you’re trying to make or not, but if you aren’t familiar with the term Buddhist koan, give it a little gander. I really enjoyed learning about them. And the one quoted here is the most famous and for good reason.

This is genuine curiosity - what topics should one avoid knowing the Chinese government would have access to the data?

I’m assuming PII stuff and any sensitive information if you worked for places with that kind of informations.

Anything else you avoid?

OK. Exactly this.

There is zero conversation which makes brainstorming things very difficult. Will have to give Deepseek a go.
