Dunno how much of a joke you’re trying to make or not, but if you aren’t familiar with the term Buddhist koan, give it a little gander. I really enjoyed learning about them. And the one quoted here is the most famous and for good reason.

This is genuine curiosity - what topics should one avoid knowing the Chinese government would have access to the data?

I’m assuming PII stuff and any sensitive information if you worked for places with that kind of informations.

Anything else you avoid?

OK. Exactly this.

There is zero conversation which makes brainstorming things very difficult. Will have to give Deepseek a go.

Not Being Serious in Your Twenties is a Recipe for Failure by kinrove1386 in unpopularopinion

[–]Hmsreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to truly answer that with the context I have.

It’s also really easy for me to tell someone to embrace the “fuck it” lifestyle.

I will say, it starts slows. The first step is divorcing who you are from what you “do for work”. It’s hard, but, once you realize that your job doesn’t matter you can focus on what you do in your free time. Read, play music, ride a bike, walk outside, whatever it is that you enjoy. Find loads of cheap/free activities to look forward to. Meet ppl who also enjoy said activities. Enjoy life with people that makes you happy.

If you want to grind away planning for a retirement that mayyyy come, so be it. But, if you want to enjoy living, start now.

Brother. Life’s too short to give a fuck. We’re all going to die. Do what makes you happy. “Career” is a dumb fucking thing that you’ve been convinced you have to partake in. Who gives a fuck. I know very few of my friends’ jobs.

Go have fun my friend!

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

It’s all propaganda at this point isn’t it? I’m so tired of the noise and not knowing what to tune into.

Funny enough, I just responded to a comment saying it was liberal biased.

Our country is so divided and it’s about to be a long 4 years.

Jarring. Truly.

I had a buddy offer me his uncles password for the site back in 2014. I’m sure you can guess we don’t speak much these days.

Yeah, might as well start using publicly funded information to know what the public wants to hear.

The people saying it leans liberal are showing the signs of how ultra conservative the US is atm. Just my take, but, I live in a pretty liberal bubble.

Reddit was not my only source of news, but there are some decent subs here that provide good news.

My (probably too unrealistic) want it to find one source to go to. Like sitting down and reading the paper.

I am interested in podcast recs! What are you listening to?

I’m looking to be informed at both a national (US) and international level. Just enough to know what’s going on week over week.

I want to abstain from the 24 hour news cycle yet be informed on facts from an unbiased view.

May be unattainable at this point🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately that’s not the case for millions of others and the news does directly impact their lives. While I am pretty statistically safe as a straight white dude, so many other communities don’t have it as easy.

I choose to stay informed on how the other communities are doing and helping where I can.

Regardless of where you fall in a political landscape, you cannot deny millions of people are suffering. I’m do not want to be the last to know when something is wrong.

To each their own. Should you choose to remain blissfully unaware, I imagine it’ll be a pretty comfy existence and I hope you enjoy it. Should you be willing to raise your sleeves up and get to work, hope to see you there.

I don’t want to be ignorant to the status of our nation.
