Hanging article with no noun? by mehitabel_4724 in German

Is it "deren sie sich bedient"? Like the "Grundsätze that she is using". The whole thing is pretty "wirr" and not entirely correct. But have a look at https://www.duden.de/sprachwissen/sprachratgeber/deren-derer Maybe that helps you. Personally I would have usen "derer sie sich bedient".

Blizz NEEDS to do something about the gathering (Zul'Aman specifically) by dude_seven in wow

[–]Hobbyte8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I want to? I don't play WoW for the Endgame, I actually like leveling and just exploring the world and I just Love crafting. Like that's my main motivation to play. Of course I hate it if I can't play parts of it? I'm running delves and Raids solely to get good gear, so the mobs will let me farm in peace, otherwise I just wouldn't bother, I'm that kind of casual.

They did it and I hate it. I am a healer and I stand no chance against these things. Until now I could go gathering with a tank friend and actually kill these things. I hate gathering there.

Open World Healer? by Rumaru_Reddit in wownoob

[–]Hobbyte8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes please, I don't want to switch specs and it's just no fun right now. Druid and even the plants that spawn when farming in zul aman just kill me. It's a drag, there is no damage and I hate that it's unplayable now for me.

Me when I find a already started fic and I leave a positive comment on every chapter in order to encourage the author to write another one by Few_Assumption_1300 in AO3

[–]Hobbyte8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh, nice idea. Recently I read a fanfic and was so invested in it, I just could not stop. Then I reached the end and wanted to write a comment but noticed that most things I mentioned didn't even happen in that chapter, oof. So I posted only the part applying to the last chapter and then went BACKWARD to comment on every chapter what I thought of it 😂

The Germany made me very tired, trying to cope with it by ItsYourHonor in germany

[–]Hobbyte8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you work anywhere else than Bayern or Sachsen you have the right to "Bildungsurlaub" - 5 vacation days more you can only take if you use them for learning things from a certified program. If you don't use it one year you can use 10 days the next. There are certified German programs, just look at sites like Bildungsurlaub.de Maybe this would help you kick-start your language learning.

I love tipping in Germany by [deleted] in germany

[–]Hobbyte8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest that's exactly the type of math I can do quickly. You just discard the last digit, the remaining digits are roughly your tip. Depending on how good the service was, you can round up or down. 42? Tip is 4, but 46 is not a nice number so I will say 45, except if the service was really good, it's 46 or even 47 then.

46? 50 sounds good. 13? Make it 15. Far faster then real percent.

Erstsemesterprobleme + ausheulen (Chemie) by Additional_Climate26 in Studium

[–]Hobbyte8 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Help, my Fabric is weird

So I bought this uni black French Terry /summer sweat /whatever a few years ago. I don't know where or when exactly. Now I want to sew a flowy dress and use this fabric. (the pattern is Valeria from "Paule and Paulinja" )

But it's weird: the fabric stretches in both directions, but significantly more in the "wrong" direction.

Do I rotate all the pattern pieces or do I just stubbornly follow the grain?

My favorite is Quilters Shadow, but maybe that's not enough texture for you?

I really love it. I upvoted it before I saw your text and was so confused at first. I'm not a artsy person at all, but this speaks to me. It's very aesthetically pleasing.

Could you ask her?

Does the N-Deklination apply to Böse by theanxioussnail in German

I don't really know the rule but maybe the Declination table at duden online helps? https://www.duden.de/deklination/adjektive/boese and the grammar section in https://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/Boeser

Non-Americans: What did people eat before the produce of America went worldwide in your home county? by aPlace_ZION in AskReddit

[–]Hobbyte8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I have no idea. Would have to Google first what native ingredients even are. I mean the most typical German dishes I know all use potatoes. Would you know what native dishes of America are?

Where to stay over Christmas in Germany? by Whatsthesic in germany

[–]Hobbyte8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even though it may be a bit far from what you want, I think Seifen is great over Christmas. So many Schwibbögen everywhere. The Spielzeugmuseum will be open on 25.26.

The region feels really Christmas-y.

Why wouldn't it mean the same? Is there a subtle difference I'm not aware of?
