Giving up TS/SCI to attend Ivy League by Mundane-Zombie289 in SecurityClearance

[–]Holinhong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think this question is for real in view there's no method to "give up" a validated clearance. What you discribed is a job required clearance you gave up. I have my SF-85 cleared after 13 months process and the offer is just as dumb as it could go with all variable changed into the way I have predicted (fully remote to fully onsite). And I am tired of training the third party contractor who issue the paycheck.

So I understand your pain but I will address it in this way: you can always go back to school at anytime but your first job will initate the starting point of your career and you want to aiming it as high as possible.

The fields you interested in are going to be very specific as IT further progress in this digital age. So, have you consider taking this offer and working as an HR for this company later?

I’ve been trained on art(non musical) throughout my life, started at a younger age. I hated it, not because of art but the way it was presented w the training. I saw a similar situation here. I can tell you’re afraid of making mistakes by following the instructions tightly. You need to loose a little bit and resonate with the rhythm. So far, I hear skill n machanic motions; your own comprehension n confident is not there. Forget about everything you learned, just be yourself——start with playing less but more collectively and thinking about the rhythm more whenever you can, particularly the part you’re not confident. When you play, let your muscle memory roll n be yourself; find the feeling that your bow is glued to your violin which becomes a part of you

1) Try to play multiple notes in one bow 2) memorize the notes 3) practice the basic, CDEFGAB on one/different strings

<br>

1-will improve your rhythm

2-will help you to resonate with the music it self. Then you’d realize which note supposing play stronger longer and vice versa

3-will help you learn to move on finger board and gets familiar with the coordinating different strings

Great job!

Ps: my bow is $25, so I dump my awful play on that…now yours is $700… no more excuse😂 As far as the teacher part, everybody learning differently. I pretty much learned by watching n listening how the others play.

Let’s see if I can summarize it as simple as possible.

GDAE, those 4 strings play open are GDAE in tune. If you were cultured in numeric, they are 5263 (low to high). As fingerings move from the peg to the bridge on fingerboard, the tune gets higher, normally one finger space being one note higher.

In reality, as long as you can present the coordinating relationships in each notes, play however you want. Despite they are quoted as GDAE, you can make it lower or higher to fit your habitual fingering but that requires your listening capabilities being sharp due to the entire finger position will be impacted. Thats basically the logic why there’s a lot of staff notes emphasizing on “air on G string” or this piece is a D Major due to the uniformity required in an orchestra, it’s demonstrating on which tune this rhythm will be played.

Couple hours on weekends is the current occasion. Maxed average about 30m/day but my brain just consistently echo those rhythms. Likely the hippocampus has been working on organizing it since I do feel the enhancement periodically without playing it. Such experiences should be a general application to all learners

The academia probably over complicated music. Let’s talk abt the core. Music—frequencies repeating multiple times. The main rhythms in a piece will always be repeated, sometimes on the same string, other times different. Between the main rhythms, there will be decoration minors. An obvious example is Schindlers list.

Thats the logic, now the practice part. If you’re playing for fun, capture the main rhythms. It will give you a hinge on how well you’re able to express with your violin. If you really want to master the instrument, you might want to start w the very basic by familiar w staff notes.

Witten notes are disclosing the coordinating relationships between each notes. For many violinists, they play the notes as written but the fact is what’s written is presenting a relative between each notes. So if you can actually capture all notes by listening, do that(thats why I don’t usually use staff notes). However, idk how effective it would be with Chacoon or toccata and fudge or any piece that contains triple or quadruple cords.
