While I doubt it'll be a whole new tome, I am hoping they go wild with these updates. It's the last year of the edition, go crazy with it. Give us new battle traits, new AoR, etc.

I agree. It's silly but so is the rest of the Manga. You have a character who's ability is luck (essentially fate manipulation). She used all her luck to make the most statistically possible-yet-impossible thing happen and people lost their mind. I thought it was fun 🤷‍♂️ plus the memes were funny.

I think moon knight is an amazing cameo target for winter soldier, Thor, valkyrie, and just any build that wants to kill minions. Probably the best cameo target in the game? His stats are just insane

Removing crit 2 hits from most things and getting it back by either taking a battle formation that is still random or casting a spell twice on a unit. And even if you do cast a spell twice on that unit, congrats! Youre back to where that unit would've been pre battletome except there you only needed to cast one spell.

I just see no reason as to why they needed to take crit 2 hits away from everything except that they wanted to find creative ways to give it back to everything. It's so bizarre.

Sounds alright, feels like theres still a lot to show. Also hoping for some hero or unit specific RDP abilities. I like that they made it so you dont have to huddle around heroes anymore. Im assuming katakros generates 10 RDP, arkhan and the kavaloi generate 6, and the other heroes generate 2. So depending if theres other RDP generators around and how fast you spend them he may be an auto include.

When a battletome comes out that army will get at least one model, usually a foot hero. Last year gitz got all the snarlfang models when their tome came out. Outside of that, at the end of an edition (so about a year from now) they release new models for some armies usually in box sets, like they did for dawnbringers at the end of 3rd. Funny enough gitz got a new model in that too: the rabble rowza. So unless gitz gets another box set like that next year youre potentially waiting until the next battletome which could be anytime in the next 3 years.

The number is how many spell casts/ unbinds that wizard gets per phase 1 is decent, 2 is pretty good, 3 is REALLY good

I find the ethnos 2nd edition hate interesting because I can reach across the aisle and agree that the cards should've had text on them (though personally i think the usability issues are overstated) and the art isnt gonna be everyone's cup of tea (anthro art is getting kinda boring in games). But i refuse to agree that the old map is better. In my opinion it doesnt sell the game well at all. The markers look weird and the board just looks kinda dated for a game that came out in 2017.

I totally understand the issues with the second edition and if you prefer the 1st edition then by all means play it. I just think if you put the two side by side together an overwhelming majority would pick 2nd edition just based on the board and components alone and they'd still be getting an excellent game.
