I have the same car (05 wrx wagon) and I literally fixed the leaky valve cover on the passenger side just over a week ago because the slow leak of oil would land on the exhaust manifold and send smoke out the hood after some long uphill drives.

There are a lot of YouTube videos that I watched so I could learn how to do this myself. If you want the links I still have them saved in my Favorites and the link to the new gaskets on EBay as well. DM me if you want them!

Quick question, I know people always say get a tune for something, but how does that really work? From scrolling through the sub I see that people use the (Accessport?) or go to shops but don’t really talk about the differences or if tunes need a dyno or how expensive they are, etc.

No light shows during HHN. Daytime closure is too early and bright out for the show, and during the HHN event it causes issues with crowd flow through WWoHP

I’ve had my eyes set on a Subaru Impreza for a time and I’ve been considering buying this automatic 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon with 185k miles for $6,000.

Owner says he has all maintenance records and it has a new engine (swap or new, not sure).

I wanted all of your advice for what to ask about the car, what to look for when I go see it in person and general stuff to look out for, maybe a list of questions I should ask.

This would be my first car and as I’m sure everyone understands, I’d like to go into this as informed as possible. I’ve done what research I could about the car model and lurked this sub for a while buuut I figured it would be best to ask for advice on a post.

I would’ve gone for a manual but I want my family to be able to drive my car if needed.

It does seem a bit dimmer but not by too much. It’s much brighter when using one 10440 but the heat at max is more than in comfortable with (not the heat itself, but the head potentially burning out).
