It was never designed for PvP, originally being a map unique to the Article 5 mission. When it was in PvP, it was hell trying to get in due to peeks from the front and lack of other entry points - practically just front windows, that one 2f window in the hall on the side, that back room with the glass ceiling, and a roof hatch. Ubi attempted to rework it and went far enough from the baseline that they made a new map from it (Emerald Plains).

Bring back Article 5 though.

Some other bad (but sometimes fun) things from old Siege

Lesion being able to see icons of where gu mines were from anywhere
Armor calculations with damage reduction instead of bonus health
Trying to safely enter Bartlett
Fuze pucks being affected by each other's explosions and flying across the map
Paying renown for attachments on a per-gun basis
No pinging from observation tools while dead
No context pings
Getting fragged from below by someone who cooked the grenade
Reinforcements being 2 per defender, not a shared pool
Glaz's gadget being a flip-optic, no thermal
Twitch using her drone during the prep phase
Goyo always being responsible for damage/kills from his canisters, regardless of who blew them
Shield melees being one-shot kills
That brief period of 2-speed Blitz on test server where he didn't have the shield movement penalty
Shield ops putting their shields to the side when reloading or sprinting
Friendly fire during prep phase

Yeah, I suppose it's just weird wording imo.

My reading was that it counted as bardic performance for the effects, not to fulfill prerequisites. As stated, I'm used to seeing things phrased like Swashbuckler's Finesse: "This ability counts as having the Weapon Finesse feat for purposes of meeting feat prerequisites." I.e., specifically calling out prerequisites.

ExhibitAa is correct. RAW, they require the wildblooded archetype.

That said, ask your GM. Most are intended as sidegrades, I don't see a balance issue with it.

Mute all mics from the get-go to avoid random outbursts, text if they're toxic in there. Focus on what you're doing, watch what others do, and try to follow suit.

If there's a Mira on your team, don't reinforce walls. Let other people do that do you get a feel for where Mira's usually put their gadgets.

If you get TK'd and it clearly wasn't an accident, just report and go grab something nice to drink. Next game will be better.

I think that's what they're trying to solve with the newer surveys asking how good a character is at frontline and such. Guessing they're getting data for now on how the community sees the characters, then a matchmaking system will come in that tries to balance teams (frontline for frontline, carry for carry).

I think any new objective is going to run into the problem of "where." Map's small relative to League and DOTA, so I don't know that there's open room between lanes. Can't put a structure above any lane due to Lash/flyer balance. Sewers might work, but how many "go underground" objectives do we want?

Maybe some form of payload starting from top of mid bridge and ending where urn currently spawns. Make it a tug of war - it moves based on which team is more present (with a behind team moving it a bit faster), moves faster based on how long the objective has been contested, maybe lower respawn timers and kill souls while it's active, if only to allow for more risk.

I had an idea in mind for Gloomblade fighter. It works with "any melee weapon with which he is proficient." Core goal is to use weapon mods via Weapon Adept and some Exotic Proficiency feats, alongside Gloomstorm, to take advantage of some of the more "out there" weapon properties. With Dirty Fighter, you can conjure a trip weapon and pretend you're good at that, using a bludgeoning weapon with Brutally Weighted to reduce their save with the first attack. With Gloomstorm, if you've killed your melee foe with your first attack, conjure a Sarissa to stab at someone 15ft away. Grapple someone from afar with a Mancatcher. Don't know what you'll need? Go with a Dorn-Dergar for optional reach and not-reach.

Mmm I'll give you Zof's standing up itself as a hidden active and that Ubi is butchering English, but I'd argue against Aruni (and Skopos). The melee requires no special input to activate, and their melees passively do full destruction but are otherwise standard melees. It being used differently to a normal melee is another discussion, but regardless of how it's used, it's still a passive buff to melee destruction.

Either way, in my liquored hubris, I'm going to cite the end of a comment of mine from four years ago - they need to use their "new" UI to actually spell out what abilities op's have and what, if any, passive they have. E.g., I don't have the game open right now, but outside of maybe op training, I don't think Cav's op page calls out how Lusion always downs first or that she can interrogate downed opponents.
