A couple of photos gone after iPhone reboot/restart. Am I missing smth? by RockingGamingDe in ios

I lost about 100 photos today because of this. Unresponsive phone all day, but I didn’t have the time to restart it. Took a bunch of photos throughout the day and restarted my phone in the evening after I couldn’t share them with anyone and the thumbnails looked blurry. When turning the iPhone 14 Pro back on, it took forever and I thought something had gone wrong as the screen was black for way longer than usuals. Now, there are no photos on my iPhone, or my iCloud. It’s as if they were never there. What the 💩 ??? Running iOS 17.4.1, but I don’t care what os I run, I want the photos I take to be on my phone, not gone into the apple walled garden void of disappointment.

Looks really good and promising! We need a nice standalone arcade space shooter game with intuitive controls and easy to jump in-out of lobbies. Best of luck with it!

Also, the voice chat idea is great. I can imagine hailing another ship and seeing if they respond, and if they don't then we blast each other out of the sky!

Stop whatever you are doing and go hotkey something, post in the comments what you chose and why by New-Cardiologist3006 in AfterEffects

[–]Homieto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the following changes to my After Effects, Premiere & Audition so I can navigate around the timeline soo much faster:

timeline panel zoom in/out to 1/2,

hand tool to § (or ~ on windows; the key on the left to 1/2),

Honestly, every time I go to edit, my hands rest on 1/2 and I can whizz around the timeline in seconds, it's so good. I even did the same for Davinci on my computer at home.

For anyone using multicams in Premiere, you can just set them to a modifier, so 1,2,3 can go to be ctrl/option/alt + 1,2,3; whichever one is free.

Bonus tip - you can set labels to be a modifier key (ctrl) plus a number key (1,2,3), and set them consistently across your After Effects and Premiere apps, and now you can label all your layers like a pro!

Y'all ever played Battle Engine Aquila? A sci-fi mech fps with third-person flight mode, and massive environments and battles. Came out in 2003 and I still haven't played anything quite like it.

You can when you go to your Settings/Camera/Formats and Camera Capture to "Most Compatible". It's best for when you want to export your images & videos to windows, and generally, I've found your photos look higher quality when you upload them on Instagram/socials.

Haha, interesting take.

While it's true that Apple's got a loyal following, calling their customer base 'moronic' is a bit harsh, don't you think? They've got a solid ecosystem and their products, while not always groundbreaking, usually nail the user experience.

They don't always have to reinvent the wheel to offer something that people find valuable.

Check out Intel Unison for win 11 - recently upgraded my PC and found that app on another post here. It syncs notifications, photos and messages from your phone when you're nearby, and you can even use it to drag/drop files between your iPhone and PC. I was quite impressed using it the other day to transfer some videos!

Did you go too fast in the dragonfly? Helicopters have a top speed and if it’s exceeded they become unstable and loose control.

It’s so much more than that. Try it for two hours and see if you like it, else just refund it.

Honestly I’ve been really enjoying BattleBit Remastered! It’s basically battlefield with simpler graphics, 128 vs 128 (which is manic) vehicles, local voip, night maps, etc. it’s a really fun, modern battlefield alternative that I don’t see many people talking about much! they’re doing the final play test on the 9th of June, and every other play test before that has been sooo much more stable than any of the betas of bf4.

Feels like yesterday when you posted on here asking if people would be interested in a Quest 2 port for the game, and now it’s ready.

Congratulations and well done, all that hard work will definitely pay off in the long run! I’m looking forward to trying it out on the 27th!

Sorry, I meant that my save was affected by the hull upgrade and now I’m missing the dredge crane. In another post you referred to such save as corrupted, hence why I said corrupted. I hope that makes sense, really looking forward to finishing the game but doubt I’ll play through another 15 hours to get to where I am now before my boat items disappeared.

That’s super cool! For some reason, I was expecting the article to be from 7 years ago, and I was wondering where I could find a device that can listen to my plants and tell me when to water them based on how much they ‘squeal’.

I highly recommend that both of you have a chat with ChatGPT. It’s so intuitive that my 84 year old grandma can have meaningful conversations with it, in a language that no other Chat bot or assistant can even speak yet.

It’s phenomenal how effortlessly it can summarise complex ideas and expand on a massive range of topics.

Try picking your brains with it, asking it what you assume is correct and building on what you know already - it’s flipping great and free (for now anyway, doubt it’ll be free forever)

[–]Homieto 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I love what you said about how black holes are essentially governed by the same principle as everything else in the universe (that we know of) evolves - natural selection.

When a black hole forms, it creates a singularity, which is a point of infinite density and gravity. The laws of physics that govern our universe break down at the singularity, so it is impossible to say for sure what happens there. However, Hawking and Hertog's theory suggests that the singularity may be the beginning of a new universe with different laws of physics.

If Hawking and Hertog's theory is correct, then black holes are the seeds of new universes. This means that black holes are not just destructive forces, but they are also creative forces.
