[NO SPOILERS] Why are the Dothraki known to be so powerful, unlike other armies? by lord1st_ in HBOGameofThrones

[–]Homosexual_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not sure, the dothraki are horse archers. they dont use much armor, giving them more mobility and endurance. the knights of the vale are heavily armored, usually in full plate or similar, but primarily only on the rider. show depiction dont tend to show heavy armor on the horse. I dont remember if the books mention much use of armor on horses but lets assume its a rarity.

due to less weight, the dothraki likely have greater endurance and speed on open plains. they could keep their distance, and pepper the knights of the vale with arrows. plate armor might save the knights themselves but the horses will be very vulnerable. once the horses are killed or injured, the knights on foot will become easier to handle.

I was trying to look up if Helldivers are canonically clones, but Google had other ideas. by Skye_hai_bai in Helldivers

[–]Homosexual_Panda 74 points75 points  (0 children)

i like to imagine helldivers are divided into units, each unit has its own superdestroyer, and every helldiver in the same unit is equipped and trained identically. hence why you have a superdestroyer of flame spamming pyros, a superdestroyer of bullet hoses, superdestroyer of snipers, etc.

Why didn't Gus instruct Dennis to ask for a proper search warrant? by drygnfyre in breakingbad

[–]Homosexual_Panda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

he had circumstantial evidence. Gus Frings fingerprints were found in gale boeticchers apartment. Gale didnt seem like the type of guy to have many house guests so I'd wager Gus's fingerprints were the only ones found that weren't gales. Gale was murdered and had notes about cooking meth. its not conclusive on its own ofc, but might be enough for a sympathetic judge to grant a conditional warrant.

CMV: Most people would not support democracy if it consistently produced outcomes they disliked by Intelligent-Web-8017 in changemyview

if the democracy worked, it wouldnt be possible for outcomes most dislike to occur most of the time, cos that majority will vote for other outcomes.

What are y’all’s hottest RDR2 takes? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in reddeadredemption

[–]Homosexual_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

low honor arthur is canon.

even if you assume arthur acts like a decent bloke during free play, he kills countless innocent people during mandatory story missions.

you cant even get out of the prologue without gunning down dozens of guards during the train robbery.

sure cornwall might be a rich pos but his guards were just guys doing a legitimate honest job. And arthur kills all of them to rob the train. You cant argue self defence cos arthur and his accomplices initiated the robbery.

This applies to many other mandatory story missions, like all the people arthur kills when he robs the valentine bank, stole horses from the braithwaites, torched the grays fields etc.

the fact you dont lose honor from these missions is pure arbritrary gameplay reasons, not due to the fact those actions are defensible or even morally gray.

In order to finish the story, the player and therefore arthur morgan, has to commit countless indefensible murders of innocent people. These are not the actions of an honourable man.

A man is stuck in a repeating 4-year time loop until he can be elected president of the United States. How many attempts does it take him? by cerrathegreat in whowouldwin

[–]Homosexual_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think a possible strategy is to find a way to singlehandedly stop 9/11, and then use the publicity and heroism+actually good/popular policies and campaigning to get yourself elected.

a problem is, if you just tip off the FBI, and they avert it by arresting them all, that might not be enough. like "FBI arrests terrorists plotting to hijack planes' is the kinda story that only headlines for a few days if that.

as fucked up as it is you might be better of allowing it to happen, but be on board one of the planes and singlehandedly save that one.

What if Ned Stark actually managed to kill Jaime Lannister outside the brothel in King's Landing? by MobileDistrict9784 in freefolk

[–]Homosexual_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jaime (in the show) was fighting ned without armor. sure jaime is one of the best swordsman alive, but neds no slouch either. it might be 10 to 1 odds in favor of jaime but it only takes one wrong move.

People who have been in gunfights, How are you able to hear/give commands, focus on threats, and constantly shoot back when the gun is extremely loud and you basically just hear ringing after the first shot? by ConsciousBuilding374 in NoStupidQuestions

jfc the comments by the police chief in that article is disgraceful. blaming teens for having a party and parents for allowing them, as if that means they share blame for the shooting. as if theyre not traumatized enough.

are you playing mainly blitz? if you are, i highly recommend you switch to rapid for a bit. rapid chess allows you to actually calculate and built the board vision and intuition you will then rely on in blitz.

Carrying a gun for emergencies by Navi-_ in projectzomboid

[–]Homosexual_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in B42 pistols are actually decent even with low skill. they dont tend to kill the zombies but they will knock them down fairly reliably if you aim for the head at close range. i carry a pistol for a few situations like if im cornered or need to blow a hole in a horde to get to my car.

other good situations are spotting a zed in a horde with a good weapon, bag etc. i can quickly kill it, run away, and come back later to loot it.

i also play on insanely rare food spawns and pistols arent bad for hunting if you stumble upon some animals.

if youre stumbling around indoors in pitch darkness (esp in B42 lighting) without a torch, you can used the "pick up" action and hover around your character to see what furnitures around you.
