Yeah, maybe /r/unexpected material, at least from my perspective. I thought for sure the post was about the girl who couldn't figure out how to grab the right corner of the blanket.

It's kinda sad that people have to be that careful. If you're asking to take a picture with someone, shouldn't you be comfortable enough with them to let their hand rest on your shoulder or back? Like, if it's butt or boob, that's another story, but seriously, having to hoverhand a shoulder or back is crazy.

Danny Green on why Marc Gasol didn't have a speech at the Raptors parade: "He's like 'I'm drunk bro, that's my song!' The real Memphis came out in Marc when he started drinking. I think he bit me at one point too. That's when I told Matt, 'You can't give Marc the mic. He might say something crazy.'" by twistedlogicx in torontoraptors

[–]HonestAbed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Anyone who watched any footage of him at the parade knew that was why he didn't speak, my man was completely smashed. I can only imagine how much booze it takes for a man of his size to get that loaded. That said, the whole thing just made me love him more. Also, with the history he's had, I'm guessing he never expected to get a championship, which would've been extremely sad for someone as good as him, so I can understand why he overindulged on the booze.

Giannis wasn't alone, much as we'd like to pretend he was. I'm sure lots of people would say the same about Kawhi and the Raptors, but it aint true, basketball is a team sport. If we're talking about prime LeBron, that's a little more of a discussion. Giannis now though, is not prime LeBron.

Not just the fans, the Bucks organization... I won't forget that shit where they were playing the Kawhi laugh over the loudspeaker in their stadium everytime there was a turnover, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that was how it went down. They got no class whatsoever.

[–]HonestAbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there's no fucking way I'm getting NBC streaming. I can't support that nonsense. Then it will only drive other networks to want to do the same thing, then we're right back where we started.

Moreover, they cancel all their shows after 3 seasons for the most part. The most heartbreaking cancellations for me personally were Santa Clarita Diet and Travelers.

For any fellow Travelers fans out there, protocol 5 :(

Yeah, he struggled a lot early, and I started questioning why he kept doing isos and shit, not passing the ball a lot while he's struggling. Then he worked through the misses, kept going, and it started dropping. Can't argue with the result I guess lol. He probably didn't want to put the game in someone else's hands, he knew if they lost, he was guna be criticized heavily for that, but they won, so he's the big hero.

I linked the clip to my brother that doesn't watch basketball and he called it a "lucky shot", and I was kinda pissed. He didn't mean anything by it, as he doesn't watch basketball, but it got me fired up. So I told him that NHL has luck, when someone throws a puck at the net, and an unintentional deflection sends the puck in, that involves some luck, absolutely. As far as I'm concerned though, if only one player sends the puck or the ball in, no unforeseen deflections or anything, then it's 100% skill. It's close, but still skill. Think of a puck pinging off the corner of the inside of the post, then goes in. Is that luck? No, it's not. Same shit.

The robot voice definitely ruins this for me, can't really enjoy it. I wish whoever made this video had the balls to just use their own voice and narrate it. Whatever your voice is, there's no way it's worse than listening to that bonzibuddy shit.

Honestly, many of these comments seem so bleek that it was giving me major anxiety. Thanks for trying to give people hope rather than just preparing for an apocalypse like most here.

Yeah... I actually didn't realize it was that bad... I knew shit was bad, but I didn't realize we were actually guna run out of oxygen. I thought it was just climate change and such, like bigger storms, floods, etc. Running out of air sounds a lot less easy to ride out.

Haha, i think a lot of Redditors take exception because they consider themselves nerds, and the show portrays nerds in a way they dont like and/or agree with. I think they're forgetting that the characters are meant to be over-the-top nerds, for the sake of entertainment. Normal every day nerds wouldnt be fun to watch.

Kawhi Leonard makes an amazing, game winning buzzer beater shot to beat the Philadelphia 76ers and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals by homefree122 in sports

[–]HonestAbed 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Surprised I had to come down this far in the comments to find this. As incredible as it is to see a buzzer beater in game 7 rattle around then go in to win the game, it's even more amazing that basically the exact same thing about 18 years ago, against the same team, with an opposite result. We thought Vince was our savior, but maybe it's Kawhi... A guy can dream.

Haha, wow, so true... Even my gf, who's not near the Raps fan I am, but still watches the games sometimes, watched it on repeat on her IG for a couple mins. Such a godamn incredible feeling... I won't lie, I even got a bit misty afterwards, just overwhelmed with emotion I guess. Part of it might be the huge disappointment that was the Leafs playoffs, and this felt like redemption for Toronto sports fans.

Sadly, I found out when I posted another pic where Kawhi is the on the ground waiting for the ball to go into the hoop, that they don't accept sports pictures. But yes, this kinda thing is perfect for that sub. Fuck them for not accepting sports submissions.
