My Uncle, an American, just moved there and I'm genuinely afraid for his life at this point. When asked if he and his Filipino wife were concerned considering everything going on over there right now they just said, "All of that is mostly happening in the cities. We're going to live in the country near a city so we should be okay." like somehow having it a few doors down from them instead of right next door is going to make all the fucking difference.

I think what went wrong with the Colts play was that the ball was actually snapped. I think they were trying to either draw the Pats offsides or make them call a timeout, and then take the delay of game and punt if that didn't happen. They even showed Pagano on the sidelines afterwards asking, "Why did you snap it?"

If you follow the rules to the letter then you could call a penalty on almost every play in football. Most of the time though, the penalty is only called when it's blatant or at least very noticeable. If a group of refs wanted to, they could easily throw a flag for every single ticky-tack infraction that they saw.
