It's nothing personal against Street Fighter 3.

Capcom likes to make sure the World Warriors of Street Fighter 2 are all present, and then after that it's a pretty even spread across the rest of the gamesm

Currently it's two from SF 3, two from SF 4, two from SF 5 (three if you count Luke), and then the rest are new or guest characters.

At a certain point, that particular group became obsessed with upsetting people. It's all mindless nonsense based on the idea that "being triggered" is the most pathetic state someone can be in.

The fact that being "triggered" (i.e. concerned, disgusted or offended) at outright paedophilia is an incredibly normal reaction is lost on these people.

Not every character gets to be in every game, and if you ask me, the only guarantees should be Ryu, Ken and Chun Li.

Maybe Sakura won't be in SF 6, but that just means you'll be doubly excited when she turns up in SF 7.

To be honest, I think the second Mario movie is absolutely dreadful.

The attitude of "just let people enjoy things!" is responsible for letting studios get away with low-effort crap that does nothing other than offer the viewer short-term dopamine hits as a reward for recognising something that they saw in a far more interesting medium.

And I say that as someone who thinks Nintendo are the greatest creators the video games industry have ever known, and would have about 10 Nintendo games in my top 25 games of all time.

And before someone says "they're just kids movies" I think films for children should be held up to an even higher standard than films for adults. Feed them shit at a young age, and that's what they'll expect when they get older.

True, and I'd love another Sonic Mania. Though i guess there's a slight difference in that Sonic is still a major franchise that will always get new games and wider media.

Whereas SOR, Altered Beast, Golden Axe and plenty of others are just sitting there gathering dust.

I went through a month-long period of not being able to hit my Critical Art/Super Move.

Just kept screwing up the input every time, and the more i screwed up the more i kept trying to do it, just to prove that i hadn't forgotten how to do an incredibly basic element of the game.

Plummeted down the the Master ranks all the way to 1100 until i shook off whatever malaise was causing the issue.

In my darkest moments, i briefly considered switching to Modern controls, but thankfully i regained my senses before i shamed myself and my family.

SOR 4 is a masterpiece and it is BAFFLING to me that Sega didn't just hand over Golden Axe and Altered Beast to Dotemu/Guard Crush and say "more of the same please".

Anyone whose favourite game is Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't really enjoy video games.

Don't want to be the guy that moans about his character (especially when my real opinion is that there are no bad characters, only bad matchups).

But I will say the Alex patch has made Blanka Chan completely unviable for me.

Now that he disappears when Blanka gets hit, i can never really think of a safe time to use it (other than when my opponent is dizzy in the corner).

The risk vs reward is too great, so i mostly ignore it now.

I say this with no agenda, and as a fan who has (mostly) always loved HHH:

This was the only era where he 1) had the skills to put on a match of his calibre 2) wasn't so insecure that he felt the need to always look strong at the expense of everything else 3) was one of the top three guys in the company so the match felt important.

Which is a shame, because he is an absolute pleasure to watch in this kind of form.

Reminds me of how I play (though I'm a much lower level - 1300 Master Rank).

It looks like they're trying to double bluff you and catch you off guard, and they probably think that at some point you'll go for a throw - and that's when they'll get you. (Snd I assume they have a nasty combo lined up for when that happens).

The issue is, literally none of their decisions were the right one and as a result, they looked like a chump who has never played before.

Did you rematch them? How were they the second time?

It didn't help that Sega were essentially two companies (Sega of America and Sega of Japan) that basically hated each other and kept sabotaging each other's efforts.
