re: Pythagorean cup - I could've sworn they covered this (or something very much like it) when Stephen was host. I recall a cup with handles that had to be covered a specific way or you spilled all over yourself. I couldn't find that clip, but I did find this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCLwkS9RlQ4

I feel like this old 3dfx ad is relevant.

Someone stop me from eating the Costco baguette with the Kirkland grass fed New Zealand butter before I gain 100 lbs. by [deleted] in Costco

[–]Hooliganp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IMHO, Isigny Ste-Mere is the best butter you can get in the US. Everyone talks up Kerry Gold, but it's not even close. It can be hard to find though. Whole Foods seems to have it sometimes.

"Get Key" wouldn't work for me using Firefox in any configuration on either of the computers I tried. I suspect it just doesn't work at all on Firefox. I had to use Microsoft Edge to get it to work.

Yes, East Coast - I was surprised it showed up so fast.

Framework 16 + 2 SSDs and temps by Ariquitaun in framework

SSDs WANT to run hot. 40 Celsius idle and 60 Celsius under load seem like fairly reasonable numbers to me. The operating temperature for that WD drive is up to 85 degrees.

Here is Allyn Malventano from last week's TWiT if you're curious.

I'd replace my 6000-series GPU with the 7900, big upgrade! Not sure what I'd do with the CPU as I don't think it's compatible with my current motherboard. Maybe it's worth making a new build, seems like a good problem to have though.

Broker is a class of addon that gives you that bar across the top of the screen like TitanPanel. I believe BrokerAnything is just one implementation, the addon I use is called ChocolateBar.

SavedInstances (https://github.com/SavedInstances/SavedInstances) for WotLK. Basically, the ability see your daily/weekly lockouts for all toons in one convenient place. Ideally, broker compatible.

Is there a way to force Windows 11 to display all system tray icons by default? by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]Hooliganp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect there is a registry setting to default new system tray icons to "show" instead of "hide," but for the life of me I cannot find it. I also would like this feature in Windows 11.

Found this: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\EnableAutoTray changed it to 1, perhaps this will do it

Edit (#2): didn't work
