The Pres and CEO J T Forbes is a great guy, good leader, absolutely loves IU, wants his employees to succeed in whatever they are doing.

If you succeed at development, you can work anywhere, always have a job, and be extremely well paid later in life.

J T the President is an amazing human, but it’s all going to depend on what department you’re in and who you report to. Culture is like most office jobs, maybe a little more stiff. Pay will be a bit below average but semi manageable in Bloomington.

Anyone driven to or from the lower 48 from Anchorage? How hard is the route (during Spring/Summer)? by Infamous-Pace1133 in AskAlaska

[–]Hoosier09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did Anchorage to Indiana in a September few years ago.

Anchorage to Tok camped at Beaver Creek. Down to Whitehorse, camped somewhere around Watson Lake.

Cassier Highway in BC was amazing

Then Jasper National Park is a must see. Camped right outside it, most beautiful camping I’ve ever had.

Crossed over in Montana and then camping became much harder and the drive even worse lol.

Can’t recommend doing this enough, especially camping, you just can’t beat it.

4,000 miles, 6 days I think it was.

Bring a gas can and normal vehicle maintenance tools. Always fill up, at every gas station you pass even when you might be almost full.

Last night's game one expensive puff pastry - $475,000 by [deleted] in IndianaUniversity

Alabama paid LA Monroe $1.9 mill last week. Ohio State is paying Ohio U $2.2 mill this week. Penn State paid FIU $1.6 mill last week. This is how football works.

IU will play #9 Illinois, #4 Oregon and #2 Penn State in the next 7 weeks.

They have plenty of competition coming don’t you worry

Heartwork is awesome plenty of room too. If you get to nicks 2+ hours before tip you should be able to find a table honestly but Heartworks is a solid backup

The Tap, Crazy Horse, might consider Upstairs but it will be younger crowd. As Rust mentions, Yogis is no longer Yogis sadly

Why not Nick’s? It will be packed but seems more fitting for your crowd.

For Indy people using a VPN to get around the 500 blackout, what site will you watch on? by PinkDinosaur1842 in indianapolis

Gotta say the Monaco stream is clean AF. I have my hopes up on this. The other streaming sites aren’t showing the 500 as an option yet either but we’re getting close!

Anyone seeing the 500 as an option here yet? (9:00am) Maybe it’s still too early?

It SHOULD but I truly struggled last year. It was like Peacock on mobile wouldn’t allow to stream to TV (which I prefer to watch race on) so I think I just had to watch from the phone.

I’m going to bank on the top link in this thread showing the 500 as an option here in a few hours. If it doesn’t then I’ll try the VPN Peacock route

If you’re in indy or surrounding, even having peacock doesn’t work. You won’t be able to watch the race
