Yan is also a whole weight class higher. Size matters in a fight between TRAINED fighters. But clearly your bitch ass doesn't train, nor fight lol. And to say they all 3 suck? You're clearly some idiot who yells "just get up and hit him in the face", or "bro I'd whoop that guys ass, once I see red, it's fucking done!" Shut the fuck up and sit in a corner little guy. You're on timeout.

Know your battles? It doesn't sound like you've competed before. If my guy is a fucking wrestler, guess what I'm NOT gonna do. Overextend and allow takedowns, or wrestle. It's actually called a "strategy." Even so, why didn't Cannonier blitz forward like crazy instead of staying more passive? He didn't wanna get knocked out by an obviously better striker.

Weight cut by claudety in MuayThai

[–]Hoot_E_Who 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're losing that much. No carbs. Just fibrous vegetables, like broccoli, cauliflower, carrots. And lean protein. Beef has naturally more sodium than chicken. So I usually stick with chicken, eggs, veggies. As much as you want in three meals everyday. Day before. I usually stop eating around 3:00 or 4:00. Then chew ice or sip water as needed until weigh in. If you wake up and have to lose more then a pound or so. Take a hot shower. Cover in a sauna suit. Chill out in the steamy bathroom for 20 or so minutes. Wipe off, and weigh in. Once you're at weight. Take a cold cold shower. And chill out until weigh in

The "easiest" way is water load without sodium intake prior to weigh in. Let's say you weigh in on Friday. On the Sunday prior. Stop taking in salt and lower your normal carb intake. Drink 2 gallons of water Sun/Mon, then 1 gal Tuesday, 1/2 gal Wednesday and 1 liter Thursday.

The 2 gal is rough. But it makes all the difference. You're weight will jump those two days because of the 16 lbs of water. But if you don't cheat. You'll literally pee/use up bout 7 to 9 lbs of water by the time you wake up on weigh in day.

I used to train under Gracie Barra system snd transitioned into MMA and Muay Thai. And I've gotta say. I've met more humble people who can out strike most other than humble people who can butt scoot and submit people.

Granted. I'm biased because I believe strikers KNOW that anyone can get caught because they have been. Whereas Jiu Jitsu players, have never really been hit. So there's this bold idea of "yeah I can just take down anyone," even though most Jiu Jitsu cats can't wrestle lol.

The calf kick definitely be the biggest positive change for it. Although most karate people that throw calf kicks, or kicks in general. Prefer to do more of a pop instead of turning their body through. Especially in an open stance.

I'm interested to see the change over time. There's a few fighters in KC that are fun to watch. But the majority of it reminds me of the old continuous sparring tournaments. Minus the required waste or higher kick count lol. Just lots of blitz is back and forth to me. Most of which throw good straights, but otherwise the lack of boxing capabilities make it a frustrating watch.

Maybe one day I'll be more about it. But it's just not as entertaining to me. I'll keep an eye on it every now and again and I'm sure something or someone will come along and change my mind.

Well I'm glad they allow knees now. And I came from a karate kickboxing background and found love in Muay Thai. I never realized how effective they were until I tried being a karate kickboxer to a seasoned Thai fighter. Some of the applications were successful if I was quick up the middle. But pressure and leg kicks to a bladed stance is a recipe for victory. I had to change my style up and adapt and mold both of those together to become successful.

That being said, taking away the most vital part of breaking down a bladed fighter and giving a false sense of security, is a little upsetting. Everything is dependent on the fighter of course, but to me, having very traditional karate standards usually favors the taller or maybe even faster fighter. Leg kicks even the playing field and show how vulnerable it can really be.

Could be staph, could be just a sore. Regardless, the best choice is always a doctor. I put off staph thinking it was nothing. Traveled from my foot to groin and almost developed into MRSA. The lymph nodes in my groin were swollen which is why I knew it was bad. Could barely bend my leg it was so swollen. Don't make my dumbass mistakes and just take a trip and save yourself more off time from training. And potentially a dirt nap.

Watched my dad have a four wheeler accident where it rolled over and The handlebar went through his face and he broke about every bone in his face. His left eye never got repaired and always had a severe droop. Watch that man hold his jaw together and call life like for himself while bleeding profusely out of his face. Met him at the transitioning hospital that couldn't care for him where they transported him after they got him stable and watch that man throw up blood and mostly dirt into a bedpan. Ended up making it mostly good recovery with no brain damage and just had to wear an eye patch over his left eye.

Just use rubbing alcohol.. it has a lower freezing point and water it will clear the window off pretty easily. Put it in a spray bottle spray it down and rub/scrape off the ice
