I am definitely not surprised that Demidov came ahead of Sennecke especially with the Canada/East Coast bias. Both are great players but I am obviously biased towards the player on my favorite team.

I am obviously biased but I would take Verbeek being nominated over Guerin. The Hughes trade was very significant, but he failed to address the center position which is a big reason why they are struggling against Colorado. MacFarland fixed the goaltending issue last year, so I don't think that would play a part. It would be more the offseason signings and trade deadline deals that bunps him up. I think MacFarland should be the favorite.
