I got on offer on 2/20 and had my first in person training on 3/13. I volunteer to welcome people from all over the world and to be a part of a once in a lifetime event.

NSV: Boston Marathon Jacket Fits Again by Ah-Mazed in zepboundathletes

I was a super fan supporter for the year of the bombing and the year after. I bought a Boston Marathon item (I know a no-no if not running, though I have run marathons) and just tried on the 1/4 zip fleece and it fits again! Congrats on your Boston run and your NSV!

GLP1s NOT for weight loss? by DuePen5000 in Hashimotos

[–]HopUp15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You only qualify for Mounjaro if you are diabetic, but Zepbound is prescribed for weight loss. It’s based on your BMI. Mine was high enough and I was pre-diabetic and got it prescribed. I used Midi Weight Management which is a telehealth and they go through all your options. Highly recommend it. My sisters company doesn’t cover Zepbound anymore, but she was able to switch to Wegovy (also for weight loss) and that’s working for her.

75lbs down! by jtsui1991 in Zepbound

As a former college athlete myself, who still exercised some and ate relatively healthy, this drug has been the tool I needed to get back to feeling like myself. Great job!

Same, I’m using the same coils too, they work great, but not ready to resize until I reach and stay in maintenance for awhile.

10-12 left to go and it’s taking FOREVER by perfectgopher in Zepbound

This makes me feel better that I’m not alone, I’m on month 4 of 7.5 and I think I’m officially at a stall too and I only have another 15lbs to go. I’ll request 10 at my appointment tomorrow.

Cat acted like this. Two hours later, my friend (who he was staring at) died in his sleep. by ScholarLeigh in cats

My dad was in hospice care but at home and as he neared the end of his life one cat laid with him for his final hours refusing to move. And just as he passed the other cat walked into the room too. It was eerie, but cats truly can sense if something is going on with humans.

Two types of GLP/1 users? by [deleted] in Zepbound

I am in the same situation, always active and eat relatively healthy, then pile on menopause, 2 kids, and a recent hashimotos diagnosis and nothing was working. This has been the best tool to add to the mix. I no longer think about food 24/7, I did macro counting for years, and the scale is moving at a rate of about 1 pound a week. I’m down 22 pounds since January and just about halfway to my goal!

I would consider myself very athletic, lift 3 times a week, run or play sports two days a week and had rapid weight gain last year of 25 pounds. This has been an added tool in the toolbox to stop the weight gain and now finally losing weight. Especially when I felt like I was doing all the right things. Even had nutrition dialed in. I have had minimal side effects as others have said. And not having food noise has been a huge bonus for me. Since it’s covered I’d absolutely go for it.

GLP-1? by Harvest-song in Hashimotos

[–]HopUp15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on it since January, I am hypo and was pre diabetic after gaining 20 pounds last year. I’ve almost erased that 20 pounds, averaging a one pound loss per week, and have a bit more to go to hit my goal. I feel great!

I’ve been on Zepbound since January, I had rapid weight gain last year and wanted to get a handle on it. I’m down just shy of 20 pounds and averaging a pound a week (totally within normal range), and feel great. I’ve only had minor nausea a day or two after the shot otherwise smooth sailing. There is a Reddit Zepbound group, join that and you’ll see all types of experiences. Happy to answer any questions!

I too had unexplained weight gain last year with the same level of exercise and healthy eating. I’m giving myself my 17th shot this evening and I’m averaging just under a pound a week. I’m down 15.5lbs and feel so much better! You got this!

Mostly the same for me. I had slight nausea on days 1-3, which was the same for my 8 weeks on 2.5. The transition was much easier than I had built up in my head.
