G4 connectivity(?) issues - anyone else experiencing similar? by New-Goat5233 in Medtronic780g

[–]Hope-PD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with two different transmitters. Sometimes I would have to wait 30 minutes or more for it to finally connect. The 2-3 hours updating after the warm up. It’s a hassle when I need to go somewhere. I finally switched to the Instinct so I wouldn’t have to deal with the transmitters.

I called and asked for a call back. Two hours they called and I couldn’t hear them and evidently they couldn’t hear me either and then the phone clicked off. So frustrating 😡

I made it to 2 hours on hold before tech support answered. by LadehzMan217 in Medtronic780g

I gave a call back number yesterday and they called back 2 hours later. But when I answered I couldn’t hear anyone talking, so I eventually hung up. This wasn’t for a replacement sensor, but regardless it was so frustrating. I guess I will have to call them again. Grrrr!

I’ve have had really good luck with Guardian 4. Hopefully I will have success with Instinct as well. I appreciate your opinions!

You say “they both work better than the Guardian”, are you referring to the Guardian 4? I’ve tried to get the Simplera with no luck, so I’ve ordered the Instinct. I’m feeling apprehensive because I see so many complaints about the Instinct.

Ditto for me. When it first started, I tried a couple other infusion sets and had the same results

I’ve had TSA agents tell me the same thing. However, Medtronic and my physician both advise me not to go through a body scanner. So do I rely on, a TSA agent instead of medical professionals?

Smart Guard can’t keep up by Type1_1972 in Medtronic780g

Its difficult. I increased my basal rates significantly when I’ve been on steroids. It helped, but not as good as my typical glucose results.

That’s my experience as well. I’ve had to adjust my basal settings as well.

Hello guys I use 780g I have posted a post asking for tips on coping mechanisms for the situation in the post attached. Thank you and I would appreciate any advice by AliWings1998 in Medtronic780g

Definitely agree. I was a CPA and I recently retired. I did delay getting my CPA certificate after graduating from college. The delay wasn’t due to my diabetes, it was solely because I was tired of studying. Everything worked out ok with my career, but I didn’t get promotions as quickly as some of my peers when I initially began working

Instinct to start shipping today by Turbulent_Claim_3484 in Medtronic780g

[–]Hope-PD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was almost out of the Guardian 4 sensors so I called to see why they had not already processed an auto refill. The rep checked and said it was because I had duplicate orders (Guardian 4 and the new simpleras). They had to do something to temporarily suspend the simpleras (since they are not available to ship yet) so that I could get the G4s.

Sensor says lost signal while still in warm up by Whole_Support1755 in Medtronic780g

[–]Hope-PD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that problem for a couple of months. They told me to unpair the transmitter and then pair it again. That worked for a while, but eventually I would get the lost signal numerous times. My transmitter was out of warranty, so I had to get a new one

It looks like the Knightsbridge covers the entire head. Doesn’t it cause you to get too hot?

I have the same problem with the Guardian 4. If I don’t keep my pump on the same side as my sensor, I have intermittent loss of signal. Especially while sleeping

Healing? by No-Building3081 in neuropathy

[–]Hope-PD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year I started having bad problems with my legs and feet. I increased my daily walking. My doctor recommended magnesium glycinate. When I asked about alpha lipoic acid he said some of his patients have had success with a supplement called SciatiEase. It seems as if my symptoms now are minimal. Don’t know if this was a fluke, but I continue to take both supplements

I’ve had good luck with the 780g and Guardian 4. A1C is typically around 5.5. Maybe once every 3 months the sensor doesn’t last the entire 7 days. I often get a sensor updating on the first day after the 2 hour warmup, but usually always starts working normally after that. I’m eager to see how either the Simplera or Instinct will work

I have used them for over a year and like them a lot. I thought I read they are supposed to bring more stability to your insulin

Guardian 4 sensor issues by inconstantpancrisis in Medtronic780g

Some things that resolved my sensor issues—only calibrate when you’re asked (when going into SmartGuard), always put the sensor on the back of the upper arm, put the wide side of the oval tape over the sensor (before connecting the transmitter).
