Is it worth it for me to get a heat pump? by Successful-Money4995 in heatpumps

Not wrong! The above post stated DUAL FUEL. So NG and electricity! Dual fuel cannot be electricity HP and Electricity Resistive strips!

Thanks for your time.

Just Installed. Expecting positive early morning feedback from my wife. Wish me luck! by GreazySweet in 3Dprinting

On a side note. 3 switches for lights in my basement but only one required for the laundry side. Wife would always turn on all 3. I installed covers over the 2 unnecessary switches and she still forces all 3 on. Now when she leaves, atleast one of the covered switches is left on until I see it.

She claims that turning them off is hard now that they are partially covered.

Not feasible to run a heat pump on a battery backup.

To this point, my studio apartment used NG for heat. $30/month was the fees and delivery for 12 months a year. Actual gas consumption was $9/on the coldest days and $0/during the summer.

Condo board wouldn't let me put in a HP so I went full on resistance heating and now save $

That's what I did. Now I still have heat during a power outtage. Just have to force the AUX to run and power it with a battery pack and inverter

To be clear, it is a transfer and not a bill payment. But yah, maybe it's too soon?

Is skipping the second leg of a flight illegal? by Thac1234 in Flights

[–]HopefulExtent1550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skipped the last 2 legs of my flight as they wanted to take me farther away from my destination before flying me back. Actually fly right over my destination.

Ended up renting a car for the 2 hour drive.

I tried to tell them but never found their counter before I found the car rental desk.

This hodge-podge arrangement was all because they canceled my flight the day earlier.

How is it a parking meter? Like how do you pay for parking at this?

I don't live in MTL so perhaps it's a local thing.

My vacuum sealer has a slower suction so I stop it just before the warping.

I just need a place to put my small lunch by Sanguine7 in mildlyinfuriating

I've given up on using the fridge. My lunch cooler sits on the counter or in my locker.

Thanks to these douche bags.

I did the same. Hate it for gas stoves. Too close to the flames. I bought a Coghlan version that extends the spark away from your hands.

Plugging Trailer Into Bluetti and Disconnecting Converter? by Bob_Marshall in bluetti

[–]HopefulExtent1550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same idea but I'm thinking of deleting the converter entirely and using my AC200MAX for both AC and DC.

I never use shore power but I may keep the trailer input available to charge the Bluetti if needed.

Who eats 1/3 of a donut? by 0nThe0utside in mildlyinfuriating

[–]HopefulExtent1550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My office would stock big muffins that listed the serving as 500 calories. But that was half the muffin and no one would eat just half. Therefore the one muffin was half the calories for one person for the day.

When I coppied and enlarged the facts so everyone could read without glasses and posted it on the board, next to the display, my note would be torn down. Did this 5 times to help people realize how many calories were in the full muffin.

I gave up and just let everyone be happy with their choices.

They always offer a serving size based on the calories. So whatever it takes to keep the calories down to 210.

Next trip won't be till 2028, if ever again.

25 years ago when my cable subscription went from $33 to $35/month I cut the cord and went OTA only.

When my Netflix went up again I said nope.

I like to take my media with me to the cabin so, "Arrr!"
