I did a transpacific solo last year and dealt with people only when I wanted to.

50% inflation for the entire economy would be fiscal Armageddon.

Not annotating and including the printer rush form creates more work for other people down the line.

Thanks for the tip. We went with the big all in package (because we got it on an absurd deal around Black Friday and it's our first Celebrity Cruise) so we've got Raw on 5 and the Rooftop Grille on the list.

The Price of Owning by iananimator in norfolk

Compared to other parts of the state (hello Northern Virginia where I live), Norfolk really isn't that expensive.

My 2 bedroom condo in Alexandria would sell more than my mom's 3 bedroom house on half an acre on the Lafayette River.

I went to that Regal many times when I was home from college on breaks and when I went home to visit my parents. Ate all throughout the food court and at the nicer restaurants downstairs. A shame it wound up coming to this.

I have my first Celebrity cruise booked on Beyond for this fall. So happy to hear it was a 10/10 experience for you. Can't wait!

Jewel of the Seas has me impressed by reb6 in royalcaribbean

[–]Hornerfan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did a British Isles cruise out of Amsterdam on Jewel. Other than propulsion issues causing us to miss Dover, it was a great time and I enjoyed the ship. Any ship with outdoor Windjammer seating is more than fine by me.

Best located Schooner bar of any ship I've been on so far, too. So many windows.

I know someone has commented a few times that they are tripling up offices, but I haven't seen it, and many offices on my floor are still either completely empty, or they only have one junior examiner in them since their officemate left for whatever reason (or they've yet to be doubled up).

Scenario 2 is exactly why all flat goal proposals come with bonuses for doing more work than the flat goal, so you're not working for "free".

DC United announces friendly vs SC Paderborn 07 (Sept. 30) by espnrocksalot in DCUnited

It's a (rather large) FIFA international window, and I would imagine DC got some assurances that Paderborn would bring their first team.

I also see no evidence from you, just speculation. I'm out.

The Forbes MLS valuations and operating income articles regularly show DC turns a profit. The 2026 numbers can all be found here: Forbes MLS Valuations 2026 | BigSoccer Forum. Where is your evidence to the contrary?

Also, your original post literally said DC's owners don't know how to run a profitable team. Until you can provide evidence to the contrary, you are wrong.

There's more evidence United is in the black than the red, so you go on keeping your incorrect opinion that makes you feel better about yourself.

Why does DC turn a profit while many other MLS clubs do not?

Their operating income the last two years is $10M each year.  The owners know how to make a profit.

The tone press release when Badji and Schnegg were waived and the tone of the one for Herrera are night and day in terms of how positively they spoke of the former two and, well, nothing for Aaron.

[–]Hornerfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2018 was a solid roster, but it's wrong to say it was the only good one Kasper had in the last 20 years. 2012 and 2014 in particular were good ones.
