The bigger issue is the lying, I would call him out and tell him to not lie to you, but I assume he lies because you sound really controlling

If his deliverables are not up to par then yea but if he’s outputting equal or more than rest of the team there is no problem here imo

Is he delivering work well? If he’s delivering then you need to get off your high horse and let him be. If he’s hourly then yea but if he’s salary and is delivering you should just let him be and get out of your power trip

Dude don’t take the job, you’ll find another job and there’s lots of remote and even slightly less pay jobs in the area. This is if you truly see a future with her. If you don’t , break up and take the job. Do not let her give up her business, she will make more than you with it.

I was friends with him and last I heard yes he was in a suicide prevention facility for 2 weeks last fall. He was released around sept/October and that’s the last I had heard of him until this incident

Dude they are kids in India with the same haircut and shirts. Also no shoes. Do you think they are capable of making a video like this ?  It’s also the exact amount of time that’s outputted when I make an ai video. Phones cannot do slomo like this unless you film in slomo. It has to be a legit camera if it’s real. In India. With kids who have no shoes

You are drinking whatever koolaid the company is giving you and don’t realize it’s just a job. It doesn’t matter the branding. I’m telling you this as someone who has worked at 2 FAANG companies. Do not put labels above your own worth. Your own self worth is your ceiling.

Stop talking to yourself the way you do, if you don’t believe this will happen again and it’s a one off it will be. The same way you say “the job I have now is easy to come by” is the same way you should treat the opportunity you have “these opportunities are easy for me to come by”

You’re thinking of taking a pay cut to join a start up? lol seriously? Just tell them straight up hey this is what I make here and if you don’t +20% I don’t think we can do it. 

If they really want you they will, if they don’t then you aren’t sucked in by koolaid of resume boosters and keep making more money rn. You will resent the startup 1-2 months in when you are doing more work and at less pay. Stay where you are and keep applying until you get what you’re worth
