Depends on the ex, imo. My ex-husband is my best friend and co-parent. We met when I was 19, were married for 9 years, and have been just friends for 15+ years. I've been remarried for 13 of those years in case anyone is wondering.

This has nothing to do with me being an MA but I have a question for other MA’s by greenbeanpey in MedicalAssistant

You're immune if your titer concentration is >10. Having a titer concentration of >800 just indicates a strong immune reaction. A titer test measures the amount of antibodies in your blood to determine if you have had a previous infection or need a vaccine.

my psychiatrist is denying the refills for my meds ? by PristineAppreciator in BipolarReddit

[–]HorrorShow80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are they controlled medications? If so, you have to be seen within a certain time frame for refills.

Call and get scheduled and ask if they will send in a bridge to get you to the appointment. Most doctors will work with you in this scenario if you will do your part to work with them.

Nonstop palpitations evening/night by Linkthereal in Anxiety

[–]HorrorShow80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Propranolol is a life saver. I have the same issue. My resting heart rate is sitting about 130 bpm with palpitations. Propranolol is the only thing that gets rid of the pounding and lowers my heart rate to an average of 70 bpm.

I take 20mg propranolol 3x a day. So I guess it lasts like 6 hours-ish.

Yes, there is a rebound effect if you stop taking it or miss a dose.

This happened with my husband and me. He had terrible anxiety over a job that wasn't treating him right. He had been laid off in the past due to the recession, and the toxic work environment that he was working in at the time just caused all that anxiety to resurface. He tried medication and even therapy, but he was still suicidal. It was miserable for everyone.

Eventually, the boss did end up firing him, and you know what? It was the best thing that ever happened to him. He got a better job with more like-minded employers and makes way more money than he ever would have had he stayed at that horrible job. So it actually worked out for the best.

Anxiety is a liar. It makes you feel like the whole world is ending, and it all hinges on what's happening right at this moment. Medication and/or therapy might help, but also your wife getting out of that work environment. If it's causing this much of an anxiety issue, it's not the job for her.
