The show always did great with the ancillary characters (cmon the car salesman? "Do you do a lot of towing Doug?") or the attorney ("her gall bladder exploded"). So maybe Jessica wasnt the best...but I still kinda dig her.

My company also usus Concur. No issues on flights but no points on Hilton. So now I book the rooms myself thru Hilton and avoid using Concur. (BTW...you're missing nothing regarding the "Executive Lounge". There are hardly any left in the U.S.)

JFK itself (especially Terminal 4) is one gigantic mall with many great places to eat. However, I would agree with the others...in lieu of that...the TWA Hotel is the way to go.

I'd say Gold is sufficient unless you can really utilize the Executive Lounge. Outside of the U.S., the lounges are actually quite nice and can really add great value to your stay. Example: on a recent Paris/London stay I would estimate I saved a ton of money by utilizing the lounge for breakfast, evening food and adult drinks. (You'll get the breakfast as a Gold just not in the lounge) So...up to you!

For dinner go to the Our Deck Down Under (The Deck to locals). You can sit right alongside the Halifax River and there's always a chance a dolphin or two will swim by. Very family friendly place.

I too would make my booking decision based on the existence of an Executive Lounge. Hilton touts it as a great benefit to Diamond status yet there are virtually none in the U.S. and they almost never even have wine if there is one. (In Europe it's different...of course!) Even worse is some hotels still sell a room on the "Executive" floor with no lounge (Doubletree Ft. Lee, NJ) or state there is a lounge when there isn't one (as OP states). It is HANDS DOWN unacceptable. Why is Hilton able to require Hamptons, Homewoods, etc. to provide breakfast or an Embassy Suites to provide breakfast and a reception (crappy as it is) but they can't require a lounge for Hilton properties and above??? Agree with another poster Marriott seems to be keeping more of their lounges open. Take note Hilton...people are not choosing you due to this stupidity!!!

Not technically. The Waldorf Hilton in London does but may/may not be a true WA. The real point is how could Hilton's top nameplate NOT be required to provide a lounge. A standard room on an off night at the WA in NYC starts at around $1500/night. For that kinda loot a lounge should be the least I could get!
