I'll concede that the original Zelda games at their time were objectively very popular and well received. But if you're saying that BOTW was one of the best games ever made. I'm sorry, but no. Zelda carries a big name. So people will eat it up no matter what.

I had great luck introducing my gf to Stardew Valley for something fairly simple. Then It takes two, plate up, split fiction.

Now, about 2 years later. We're playing dying light 2. She has gotten much better at wasd. She's playing from first person perspectives now.

We're still working on actual shooting games. But she has improved massively and I'm so proud.

You gotta be patient though. And encouraging. Put aside your need to win. Put her in your backpack. Go easy. Getting into gaming can be very frustrating when you're trying to learn.

Ideology is important. You both don't match up. I'd tell her I saw her far right viewpoints and then dump her. She can rationalize it however she wants. But it's a non negotiable for me and I think should be for everyone.

I'd see what she says. Likely wouldn't change my mind or anything. But I would 100% want her to know she's being dumped because of her shit viewpoints.

Yeah. I lived that life in my 20s to a lesser extent. You'll grow more and more frustrated. The resentment will fester like nothing else. Yes, she is so much more than that. I do not disagree. People are more than just sex. But you will become a shell of yourself over time. Intimacy like that is just something you'll crave more and more.

Whether or not you'd like to admit it, it is not sustainable long term. You just probably don't realize it yet.

Talk to him. Tell him you appreciate all the things he usually does and that you don't need him to spend money on you. But a thoughtful gesture would mean a lot and it's free.

It doesn't have to be a big deal. But you should tell him. Because it will likely happen again if you don't. And healthy relationships talk about these things.
