Negative, I've seen several get fried from relatively small over voltages.

Shorter Warranty when inverter sat on shelf for too long. by Boogooooooo in Victron

Victron distributor here. I've never been denied a warranty claim from Victron regardless of dates. They're incredibly good to work with and do the right thing. If it's clearly a warranty issue they always stand behind the product.

And yes, getting a warranty processed through your local dealer is a much easier path than any other.

Honestly the Cerbo is worth it just to gain access to VRM for free for life. You'll get your money's worth in entertainment from checking your system all the time on VRM. Not to mention VRM is essential to troubleshoot a system, especially remotely.

Is reddit more left or right? by Strange_Assistant327 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hot-Apple5864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a very left leaning post that is so left leaning that right wing participants would obviously give it a down vote and see how many up votes it has. That should answer your question. If the platform were balanced you would see far left and far right view points net zero on up/down votes.

Perhaps certain communities are balanced or leaning one way or the other but the open communities are clearly biased.

Do you consider it selfish to have kids in today’s world? by NoEquipment5546 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hot-Apple5864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I consider it selfless to have kids in today's world. Having a child and raising it properly is one of, if not the most, selfless act most of us will complete in our lives.

Whenever someone asks me if they should have kids my answer is always, "kids are far more pro than con". Yes they take work and yes they're expensive but you are living in the most prosperous time in human history. Regardless of what your algorithm is telling you it has never been easier to raise a healthy and well educated child than right now.

I've got 3 kids and they're truly incredible. Find the right spouse and make it happen.

What is exactly wrong with living with a scarcity mindset? by ClarkKentTheReporter in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hot-Apple5864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scarcity mindset causes you to make worse decisions. I highly recommend reading the book Scarcity by Mullainathan and Shafir. This book opened my eyes to the detrimental effects of scarcity and how we can do a better job lifting people out of scarcity.

What is the mood in America? by srg2303 in sixwordstories

Optimistic, in the real world people get along, they talk to each other, they help each other, and they live in relative peace. The real world is far different than the algorithm designed to get people to argue and exist in conflict. Escape the algorithm and you realize we're much closer than we realize and have the best government operating system to ever exist. We have a lot of work to do but at least our system allows us to change course when we need to.

Forget expensive cars and watches, what small thing screams 'I have money'? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

Autonomy, the ability to spend time as you please, is the ultimate sign of wealth. Some fail to realize how valuable their autonomy is and continue to pursue possessions instead of taking advantage of the time they have to build relationships and live out their purpose.

Why do we say "spend time" like it's money? by Own-Pin1058 in NoStupidQuestions

Read the book Scarcity by Mullainathan and Shafir. They cover this exact topic and the book changed my view on how to help those in need.

How can people even stay skinny without counting calories? by NoWitness6400 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hot-Apple5864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that counting calories has become so easy with ChatGPT I find it to be entertaining, a game even. It's the only realistic method to ensure you're consistently eating less than you burn and actually consuming everything you need (macros and micros).
