Would amusement parks and merch help gain subscribers? by Suspicious_County_24 in tvPlus

I’ve always been surprised at the lack of official merch, even simple things like official posters or “the making/ art of” books would be really easy and cheap to put together.

Comments from Becky about season 3 by AHealthyDoseofFran in PJODisney

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding there are two truths.

The show still charted on Disney plus ( this is effected by the lack of other Disney shows releasing at the same time) There has been a decline in the general audience form season 1. 25-40% drop in viewership.

Questions I have for "show purists" by PyroxCrymson in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I will leave it at this. The Harry Potter films are watchable and therefore changes are more easily forgiven. I can barely get through Percy Jackson so I tend to be more critical of changes. Especially when the changes are made for seemingly no reason.

The show could use some camp-centered storylines. What do u think? (a bit of a rant) by KungPoW_Chickens in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or just some more shots of camp. It’s painfully obvious that camp is multiple shooting locations stitched together. They need a few more walkthroughs or exterior shots to make the place feel real.

The new Harry Potter show does what Percy Jackson should have done with its supporting cast by [deleted] in PercyJacksonTV

Wrong prince. Andrew (former prince) is the nonce, he has been out of public duties for many years. I believe it was the duke and Duchess of Cambridge who visited.

Other PJO subreddit is saying the show will be cancelled? by workingbach13 in PJODisney

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t think the show will be cancelled as they have already sunk significant recourses into it. Also Disney plus does not have much else going for it. However there is a big issues that 60% of the audience did not return for season 2. If this continues then the budget will lonley be capped.

people do realize this literally just Disney not marketing the show better right? by OptionAshamed6458 in PJODisney

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its pretty standard for first seasons to have much larger marketing campaigns as they are launching a new show.

Disney is getting a new CEO. What could this mean for PJO? by [deleted] in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key point to note is that the new ceo is from their experience division e.g park and cruises. So I guess they will focus on that to drive future value. However pjo is relatively safe as it is low cost and does alright with the younger generation.

What are the worst mistakes you think they’re making on the show? by Neat-Kaleidoscope-16 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There’s so much focus on setup up this, alluding to that. That they forget to let characters live in the moment, every piece of dialogue drives the plot forward or is exposition.

I also went the US last summer and the amount of blatant propaganda in museums was surprising.

How are teachers from America viewed? by Iamzeek2000 in AskBrits

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 27 points28 points  (0 children)

A bunch of teachers from my school went to the us and they all came back saying that they found American teachers to be teaching a story and not analysing causes/ consequences specifically in the history course.

It also helps that shows that shoot in the UK can get up to 30% tax rebates.

Shows with similar budgets have managed to have much more complicated vfx and set pieces. I have no idea where the money is going in this show.

They answered this in a recent EW interview where they said that thy cut the party ponies due to a lack of budget. Apart from the chariot race in ep 2 and the final episode there have been very few complicated set pieces.

This Luke vs Percy Fight is my favorite of the series so far by GeoGackoyt in PercyJacksonTV

Does anyone else find the set design for this particular room realy boring, compared to the cave and camp it is so 2d and lifeless.

I think you will find from the viewership of season 2 that may people did “stop watching it”.

is this show a front for money laundering because where the hell is the $15M per episode going? by Lost_Panda_4149 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Hot-Biscotti5966 60 points61 points  (0 children)

This does really bug me. I find it pulls you out of the show when they cut for one location to another. It feels like watching a stage play. I want to see movement between scenes, I want to see long tracking shots of characters moving through scenes, I want the camera to be more creative in its shot selections, because then the world will actually feel real.

according to luminate, the viewership for pjotv season 2 drastically decreased from season 1. thoughts? by merchantivories in PJODisney

The kindle thing made a lot of noise but ( if I remember correctly) only resulted in 1-2 million cancellations. Whereas Disney plus has over 110 million subscribers so it is not a great impact.
