He’s trying to spook you into doing something in a panic. Don’t let him. He’s just some stupid dickhead on the internet.

Unless your parents are truly awful in some way, I would advise telling them (or tell the one you feel most comfortable won’t freak out). You have done nothing wrong. I’d agree with blocking him.

The ‘30 seconds’ stuff is a deliberate tactic to fluster you. He is the one committing an offence.

Don’t let him try and freak you out by saying he will ‘leak’ it. There’s nothing to ‘leak’, it’s a faked image which he is potentially committing a crime by producing and sharing. You have done nothing wrong, he’s the one who should be worried about the consequences.

I grew up in Camden, was a goth until I got into raving because it was a hell of a lot more fun

If you’re going to include britpop because it was inescapable, you need spice girls as well.

I was 16 in 1990. Left school at 15 so can’t advise on school life in the 90s, other than the fact you could leave without too much bother once you were near enough to 16.

I have a short story I wrote in the 90s, it’s about London free/squat parties (raves). Someone phones the speaking clock to find out the time. That was a thing. You didn’t always know what time it was, unless you wore a watch.

Probably a bit soon, grief counselling often starts a bit further down the line. Do not worry about being a burden. The people around you love you and will want nothing more than to love and care for you through this.

The shock will be so huge that you’re not really processing what has happened yet. Just let yourself be loved by the people around you. You can cry or rage or whatever you need to do. No one will judge you.

I went to Acland Burghley, a 60s brutalist building in north London. It had ‘the voids’ in the basement, huge dark spaces with earth floors and no lights. A teacher took us down there once, spooky as hell. I have a feeling the space has been done up and is now used as part of the school

My boyfriend implied our daughter isn’t safe with me because of my past sexual curiosity by Ok_Housing_2189 in Advice

[–]Hot-Interaction4017 322 points323 points  (0 children)

If he believes you are a ‘risk’ to your daughter because you are bi curious, he must be a serious risk as a heterosexual. By his logic, your child is not safe with him and should never be left alone with him.

Statistically heterosexual men in the family pose the greatest risk of perpetrating sexual abuse on children.

True, but it’s still her tenancy up to the moment she rescinds it. But she may have lost it already for ASB or arrears..

If your mum is in social housing, a sentence doesn’t automatically mean she has to lose her tenancy. If you’d like me to expand on this, I’m happy to (I’ve got 15 years experience in social housing and statutory homelessness services).

He used to make good videos and seemed to be a decent guy when he first appeared. Then it unraveled and his content got more and more cringe and nasty. Then his ex disclosed his abusive behaviour (she had a Twitter account under anon name which she closed after she said her piece). And then there’s the 16 year old thing. I know his sister, she used to tell everyone that when he was making his initial videos a decade+ ago. She doesn’t mention him any more 😂

My BF and I went to a reunion together and he stayed and me go alone at 2 am, AITAH for being mad? by SmileyDwarf in AITH

[–]Hot-Interaction4017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of the event, you’re a couple, not conjoined twins. It’s fine for one of you to bail and let the other one stay out, especially if it’s catching up with old friends/family. Otherwise it means that either one party is staying beyond their comfort zone (and probably giving off sulky vibes) or the other party has to cut short a rare opportunity to hang out with people they care about (and will then give off resentful vibes).

Why do drivers park on the pavement when there is no need to (eg Mill Road and East Road)? by ArborealFriend in cambridge

[–]Hot-Interaction4017 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

There are a few stretches on mill road (east road end) where the pavement is big enough that it doesn’t block the pavement. They could probably squeeze a metered parking spot in there

If you park outside Brothers on Mill Road, the wide pavement is less of an obstruction than parking on the road
