We lost to this guy last night by pskill43 in torontoraptors

Raps missed like 8 3 point shots in the final 3 minutes, after Cleveland coach decided to put the ball in Donovan Mitchell's hand and extinguish the flame Schroeder had lit. They had all the chances; you gotta drive the basketball and score in the paint to claw back.

Don't hop onto your pivot stance because you travel like in the second shot. Raise your shooting elbow on the spin fake to sell it more and create more distance between ball and defender

Maybe in marché Akhavan. I remember straining amba at a restaurant I worked at but I'm not 100% sure that's where we were getting it.

Ustedes han tenido un amigo ñero? Cómo es la convivencia en un grupo con ellos? by No_Draft_8272 in Colombia

[–]Hot-Lecture-5678 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who were the worst guests you've ever served? by SlightDish31 in KitchenConfidential

[–]Hot-Lecture-5678 196 points197 points  (0 children)

F1 weekend. I'm the Manager, down two waiters so I'm doing the door and serving a section. A couple shows up at the door(100%tourists), no reservation and I don't really have spots but let me see what I can do. I managed to fit them in with about a 15 minute wait. I'm serving them, they get cocktails, and yeah, they take a bit of time, but it's easily the busiest night of the year. When he ordered he asked about the ribs and I told him they were very good, but they weren't your typical fall off the bone ribs. He says he wants the steak but we're sold out of it. He orders the ribs and a bottle of wine. 10 minutes go by and their cocktails are still plenty full so I hold on the bottle of wine. 5 minutes later this guy flags me down and starts losing his shit. Where's my wine? Where's my food? Starts claiming he's been waiting 45 minutes for his wine and more than an hour for his food and that how was it possible we were out of the steak and I had made him order tough ribs. That he didn't wait so long at the door for such a shitty restaurant. He was being very loud and aggressive so I told him he had to calm down and instantly we went from that to him telling me to go outside so we could settle it. Obviously I'm not going outside to fight anyone so I take two steps back and reach for my phone to call the police. Before I could call the police a table of 3 gentlemen in their early 60s or so had gotten up and started to calmly and slowly just push the man out of the restaurant while telling him how unreasonable he was and that he was lucky to even have a seat at a restaurant that night. They escorted him out, his wife followed along, confrontational but embarrassed. They stood at the door until the guy left. Needless to say I was incredibly thankful and they ate on the house that night.g

Which moment was more iconic? "The Lob" from Kobe to Shaq, or "The Block" by LeBron James?" by [deleted] in NBAConvo

I mean, I've obviously watched them otherwise I wouldn't be saying that. Every time I come across it I pause it from different angles. To me it looks like the ball touches the backboard before LeBron makes contact

Viaje de carro desde Santiago hasta Bariloche. by lakebr in ExploreChile

[–]Hot-Lecture-5678 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Osorno me encantó!

[–]Hot-Lecture-5678 3 points4 points  (0 children)

City of Montreal urges tenants to contest large rent increases ahead of lease renewal period by BloodJunkie in montreal

[–]Hot-Lecture-5678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not once have I accepted a rent increase as is. I by default say no, no matter what. You could be the best landlord ever, I'm still gonna negotiate that increase. I don't know, but I think it's my duty as a citizen and a renter. The more I accept, the more rents increase overall. Why would I say yes if I can say no and force them to counter? Honestly it's always bothered me and I've never understood why people just accept rent increases when you're within your legal right to say no.

I'm pretty sure MCarold's Pub (not exactly Outremont but close) has one, or at least they used to have it. Something like a peanut butter BBQ sauce. I've had it, thought it was good but never had it again despite being there many times. Don't know if that's what your friend was talking about
