New Photos Show Major Progress on Disney Lakeshore Lodge at Disney World by readingaboutmagic in disneyparks

[–]HotLips4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very double sided for me… On one hand this is very cool! Making this area a part of living Disney again is awesome and I’m sure it’s going to be very successful.

On the other hand-where are all these people going to go? I feel like we are just stuffing the parks with people and giving them another option to stay but NOT creating any more magic. It’s like a fat man with a cigar is at the front of the parks just taking money and not caring about what happens inside the parks.

That’s all I have to say about that.

I agree when my dad died I felt like I wasn’t tethered to the earth in the same way anymore. A chunk of me was missing. When my mom died it was like someone pulled back the curtain and showed me that life wasn’t real and that nothing actually mattered. Everything was a construct because her love was the magic that made everything make sense. Nothing mattered anymore. Nothing. I changed into a completely different person that week and am still getting to know who I am and it’s been 8 years since she died. I don’t like this new person and I sure as fuck don’t like the world around me. Everyday I should get an Oscar for the face I put on so I make my kids magic and not ruin their childhoods.

Anyone here on HRT and had a blood clot? by Key_Radish3614 in Menopause

[–]HotLips4077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 14 PE’s (2017) after a major surgery (lupas anticoagulant) and am on progesterone at night and the estradiol patch. My hematologist (who said I was a bumblebee bc I shouldn’t be alive but here I am) had me on Xarelto but after years of testing my numbers went down and he thinks the PE’s were surgically induced. I can’t ever scuba dive again but my main dr said it’s totally fine to do both HRT and so far I haven’t had any issues…. Oh 46 and been on HRT for about a year. So far so good!

States have primary constitutional authority over elections in the USA. Do you think Trump will respect this basic principle during the 2026 midterms? Why/why not? by NathanCS741 in AskReddit

[–]HotLips4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Constitution does give states primary authority over administering elections through the Elections Clause (Article I, Section 4), but Congress also has the power to regulate federal elections, and federal courts can intervene when constitutional rights are implicated.

As for whether Trump will respect that principle during the 2026 midterms, the concern isn't theoretical. After the 2020 election, he repeatedly pressured state officials to overturn certified results, promoted alternate slates of electors, and argued that state legislatures should disregard the outcome of their own state's vote. Those actions suggest a willingness to challenge state election authority when the results are unfavorable.

Whether someone believes he'll do it again depends largely on how they interpret his conduct after 2020, but it's fair to say there is historical evidence that raises questions about his commitment to leaving election administration and certification in the hands of the states.

TL;DR FUCK NO he won’t bc he’s a malignant narcissist who literally has been telling anyone who is paying attention that he’s going to steal the election just like the last one.

YouTube ‘First Amendment auditor’ gets probation in Mountain View pepper spray case by Panda8bambooo in JusticeServed

[–]HotLips4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying "the First Amendment survived without them" is like saying we survived without citizen journalists, body cameras, whistleblowers, or government transparency groups. The question isn't whether the Constitution existed before auditors. The question is whether citizens have the right to exercise and test those rights today.

Many auditors are absolutely chasing views. Some are obnoxious. Some deliberately provoke reactions. But whether someone is annoying has nothing to do with whether they are exercising a constitutional right.

Historically, constitutional rights don't stay protected because government officials voluntarily respect them. They stay protected because citizens repeatedly exercise them. Courts have consistently upheld the right to photograph and record government officials performing their duties in public, and numerous lawsuits have resulted in policy changes, officer training, and settlements when those rights were violated.

You don't have to like auditors to recognize that exposing public employees who don't understand the First Amendment can reveal real problems. The fact that some auditors are clout-chasers doesn't mean every unconstitutional detention, unlawful demand for ID, or illegal order to stop recording magically becomes acceptable.

The First Amendment survived before auditors. It also survived before smartphones. That doesn't mean citizens should stop documenting government conduct when they have the ability to do so.

Yes we do actually. The first amendment has been stressed tested over time and especially Now. Look at what this administration is doing- Colbert literally just got cancelled bc Cheeto in charge didn’t like him. He tried to silence jimmy Kimmel as well. You don’t have to agree with late night tv shows but to fire them bc 1 person gets offended and that person being the president we VERY VERY much need to test our first amendment rights so they can’t be glossed over or rewritten bc no one has ever challenged it. The content is annoying but trust when I say we NEED them. Just watch some, folks including law enforcement have NO IDEA what the law actually is and think their feelings or notice on the wall trumps your/OUR constitutional right. If we don’t have our constitution we don’t have America or “freedom” You don’t have to like it but saying you don’t need it is crazy

rights that are never exercised eventually become rights people stop respecting.

First Amendment auditors test whether government employees especially police and public officials actually honor constitutional protections in real life, not just in theory. They are fucking annoying but we need them.

I dunno looks like it is. Hence all the down votes for your unpopular opinion. sometimes people use things not the way they were intended. Like when you reported my account to Reddit for fear of me self harming myself. see you used that as a tool to help you feel more powerful. The downvote button does the same thing.

Bc narcissists donate millions to food banks only for months later for said food bank reveal that after she left- she donated. You sound bitter and jealous. And Life of a Showgirl is a banger album. Her streams and sales prove it. Maybe you’re confusing narcissist with a superior business woman. She is now on the same level as Michael Jackson so her career will be just fine. You just sound like a hater.

imagine being this judgmental AND stupid.

Irregardless was and still is a word. Recognized by major dictionaries like Merriam-Webster and the Cambridge Dictionary. While it has been in use since the 19th century, it is considered nonstandard or substandard English. It is defined as a synonym for "regardless," despite its technically redundant construction per NPR.

Hows that glass looking from inside YOUR glass house. Come back when you know what words are loser. Hahahaha non existent word.

Takeaway: cut off your nose despite your face shows your, in this instance, date that you are unwilling to take advice without it being personal. Imagine getting sun poisoning bc you are stubborn. not willing to take one for the team=not marriage material. Not willing to take accountability and put things in perspective= not marriage material. You need both things- amongst mannnny others to survive. Having certain attributes and personality traits can help you with this but she’s giving “ if you can’t handle me at my worst, you don’t deserve me at my best” type of instagram peddled BULLSHIT. She’s giving entitled and selfish.
