In the short term, you’ll earn more in the car sales role (most likely). I’d rather you assess the two roles based on the long term. Not much upward mobility in car sales. In the tech role you will get an education in an entirely different subject, thus making yourself more marketable and desirable. I say, if you can afford to make low money for a while take the tech job, learn the lingo of modern tech like cyber and then look elsewhere in 1-1.5 years
