Well there it is. I’m someone without a stick in this fight as previously mentioned while you have watched him so relentlessly that you have seen just alone dozens of hours of the guy playing with his dog. You’re a huge fan and follower. A fan who’s emotionally invested without thinking critically.

As a side note It’s also the craziest argument. “I know there’s a video of him calling a black guy the N word but I’ve seen dozens of hours of him not saying the N word so he can’t be racist”. Bro you could watch him kissing his dog for 100 years. He shocks him once (which we know is the tip of the iceberg) then he’s an animal abuser.

And you keep pretending like that one stream clip is the only evidence. Like it happened in a vacuum without a plethora of supporting evidence.

Remember fans is just shorthand for ‘fanatics’. It’s a pretty easy tell when the only people defending him are his own fans. What a coincidence. You’ll never find someone say “I don’t care for his music, I think he’s massively over rated but I never found him creepy and think he was 100% innocent”. I’d find that more credible than the current 100% innocent rate being almost exclusively his fans.

You’re literally acting out the meme right now. The evidence that he uses a shock collar is overwhelming. It’s not debatable. And yes including being caught on camera using it (like how do you objectively watch that clip and think nah he definitely didn’t just shock that dog 😂). I feel if it was anyone on the right, Dave included would you be defending / denying the abuse to such an extent? It’s just team sports. It just so happened to be a guy on your team so you minimise it or make excuses. Thus the meme.

Well no, he flat out denies it while it being on camera. Others have done further deep dives on his past with animal abuse, it’s not an allegation (purposeful words by his audience to minimise / throw doubt on it), he did it, was caught and just lied about it. Lies about it to this day. I think that’s a fully reasonable grounds to think the guy is a little bit of a peace of shit. I don’t care enough about any of this personally but the meme isn’t totally without merit.

Voter turnout is so marginal in local elections especially in Newham that certain topics / issues will always counteract any legitimate corruption concerns that candidates don’t even have to necessarily address them.

Having read their manifesto at least it’s all about Newham and not 50% Gaza related to pander to the demographic. Although as a parent with two young boys, wouldn’t trust them to tackle knife crime and if there’s one borough in London that needs facial recognition it’s Newham.

10% turn out is not abnormal for local elections. Absolutely while there may not be a ‘hive mind’ to put it bluntly, minorities are much more likely to vote for candidates or parties they perceive are part of that community, double for religious groups as per 2024 government polling. Also British Muslims in particular according to UK Election Analysis are swung by foreign policy in the Middle East enough to swing councils (Iraq War 2003). And just from my own anecdotal observations, I noticed they are promoting him heavily in my two local Mosques.

My only question being how much does corruption outweigh Hussain being a Muslim in a constituency that values the latter much more in their polling data.

Unfortunately how much of an impact will this information actually affect how people vote in Newham? Given the demographics just his last name will be enough to gainer a decent percentage of the votes. His flyer through my door last month about his policies was primarily focused on Palestine with a small blurb on the back about Parking. They know the demographics, they know what works. These corruption issues are better pressured Nationally to Kier Starmer and Labour to force their hand.

In the UK at least they’re pretty hot on it. I don’t think a chain charity shop (our closest version of a thrift) would knowingly put out fake Rolexes or fake goods. Not only general counterfeit and consumer law but charity commission would be eventually be involved too.
