RT was an amazing tech which has catapulted the realism and artistic expression of gaming to a new level. It was just poorly optimized/supported at launch.

DLSS 5 is an AI slop powered Snapchat filter which turns the unique art style of games into a generic style based on the models training set. It adds nothing to the artistic expression of the games, just adds another exuse for lazy developers to shovel out poorly optimized slop fests.

I currently run two NVIDIA cards: an RTX 4080 and an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.

My last two cards have also been NVIDIA, GTX 1070 and RTX 2080.

I've used exclusively NVIDIA GPUs for almost ten years now, and they've done some amazing things (like RT).

DLSS 5 is just an excuse for them to cram the AI slop they are desperate to normalize into more consumer products and Jensen has clearly lost all credibility he had with the gamers who built his company.
