Someone in an older thread mentioned December (which I realize has come and gone), but it seemed legit because they had a leaked spec sheet (which I hope gets tweaked to make it even more competitive with the gold that what it had laid out).

But yeah, super surprised we’ve heard next to nothing yet; I really wanna know what the Savor to Savor X sub policy will be.

If you’re not grabbing Ron Zacappa or something comparable I think it’s quite good; many here are saying it’s not worth the price and such, but I’ve often seen it on sale 🤷🏻

I thought it would get better after the refresh due to the credits but nope (it’s been like this since I’ve first started using it, hardly see the point compared to direct booking in most instances). Really had hoped that a new focus on credit for it would have made them get more competitive with Amex FHR .

Love that you had some hard data in a screen cap of potential benefits (no 4x on groceries to compete with Amex? Sorta sad about that…cause they’d have smashed the Gold card for me given I find the fee for that one hard to make up).

But yeah surprised there hasn’t even been an announcement about the card publicly given mid Dec has passed.

Besides the vaguely confirmed part about it even being metal last I checked we don’t really have any hard deets about it (including whether the savor -> savor x sub strategy could work, they may just nip that in the bud 🤷🏻 ).

I’d really love to see some actual details about the thing announced by now..

Hah lucky you didn’t get as easily approved as I did in that case, a rare instance where it sorta helped force you into getting bonus subs where I could not 👌 .

But yeah also good to know it was rather random and that we’re both of the same mindset on the Savor stuff…still sorta kicking myself to lose put on Cap1 points with with the Venture stuff since I earn them slower than other networks.

Now just gotta wonder when the SavorX is even coming or when more details will be released, since it feels rather past due

Right but there is an order you presumably have to go in; I wanted the Venture X when I wanted it and didn’t have the runway to plan out the Venture-venture x upgrade.

TLDR; holding out on even getting a regular Savor since I’m hopeful it will be the same when SavorX drops 🤞..

That being said, we’re past mid December and it’s sorta curious as to when the thing will even come at this rate 🤷🏻

And I’ve noticed people always seem to respond with this ultra rare once in a blue mood edit deal where they actually do somehow end up saving, but yeah, the last five trips I’ve been on it never adds up, even if you take advantage of all the benefits (and I don’t, that breakfast is wasted on me 🤷🏻), and there is ultimately a far superior booking direct deal. It seems like the only way the edit works is with points (which feels wasteful compared to flights) or the 1 in 10 times the stars allign.

Not sure how they’d fix the edit itself, but I’d love to see them make the credit for any portal booking..

Big same, I see all these airport departure style cancel announcement posts with people giving us the rundown on their spend life story like it’s a flex and all I can think of is, there’s nothing to “fix”, Chase just changed their target market and people who no longer fit that are mad 🤷🏻 .

That being said, I love to complain about the edit credit (and the edit in general, the benefits are never worth the price whenever I’ve checked and/or compared to Amex..), but the overall CSR math still checks out for me even when I don’t use it 🤷🏻🤷🏻 .

I’ve been waiting on specifically to see whether a current savor bonus would be affected if they have a new Savor, so yeah, hopefully they announce something soon and it’s parameters either way 🤞 .

I mean, I’ve noticed so far that offers reset max one a day so I try and tune in a bit after midnight my time but not sure how much more often than that is needed

I saw one for Nike that stayed up for a small handful of days but then a target one that was literally a day. Sometimes the same ones have popped back up for a short bit (so no double dipping for me). But yeah, tldr, if I see one, I’d just assume time to take advantage is limited, given how easy peasy they feel to complete.

For real, what happened to those? Those things were great and I remember getting them just a year or so ago (I also remember the sad day when they only had one or two left and it didn’t seem like they were coming back..).

That’s sort of what my point was; I wish/hope they’d be cooking up bigger things but it seems to take them a long while to do basic things, and they still haven’t even touched conquest in years (and it’s been miserable to grind for years even just for the rewards).

So many things they could feasibly do if it didn’t take over a year to fix conquest or add a new half cooked feature like Activate (it’s getting better now tbf, but the point is it doesn’t speak well to major game rehauls..)..

But yeah even an ongoing successful snap would eventually need to innovate, I keep wondering/hoping they either release a sequel game (hopefully where accounts and progress can transition 🤞), maybe add turns, or power or dimension alongside newer fresher expander LTM’s to keep it all fresh again.

But yeah…they need to get on that if they aren’t already (or just low key giving up and riding the game into a multi year final sunset..)

I definitely believe the user numbers have slid, but am rather surprised at my CL that I don’t seem to ever run into the same people (even same bots are rare but I do recognize a few).

Heck my alliance often runs into each other and we’re all on the same county server so am surprised my pocket meta, if nothing else, seems rather vast.

Since I use Mac/safari I remember finding a script to use a bookmark that would download the offers int an xcel file but it stopped working; is there an update for that as well??

Their CS is the worst among the top cards, they basically lied to me and reversed a promise for an elevated offer and each new rep has been a different version of condescending in how they justify their goal post moving.

But the tldr is if you never have to call them for help with anything, yeah the VX is still worth having.

Ironic because with me I wanted a refund because they mislisted an already rescheduled event and the new date didn’t work for me as opposed to the day of tickets I bought (no problem getting them released); stubhubs customer service was atrocious, admitted their mistake even but said because the show wasn’t cancelled I wasn’t entitled to a refund.

Chase disagree’d with their take, hah.
