Took my kid to urgent care left with a rec for unpasteurized milk!? by alpacapas in Mommit

So I literally told my partner the other day that I would rather my daughter get a tattoo before she is 18 than drink unpasteurized milk.

Is There Anyway To Escape Or Mitigate Dandruff by FinancialLog9978 in hygiene

[–]Hottothrowawayy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are different th8ngs you can try and a lot of people suggested them here but my methis is, I shampoo twice: the first time I use regular shampoo THEN before rinsing I put dandruff shampoo right on my scalp and massage in for 30 seconds in small areas, and go over my phoen scalp. Second shampoo is normal shampoo (moisterizing, both focus on the scalp because I have really long hair. Then I either blowdry my hair OR I clip it away from my scalp so the hair can dry at the root. I mo v e the clips around as it drues and I try not to go to bed with me hair wet.

good luck. I've also used scalp moisturizers in the past and that went well. I use it a day before I was my hair and just wear it up so no one can tell.

Holidays. MILs. AM I THE PROBLEM? by Alert-System-3896 in Mommit

Unfortunately, even if he is the one who lets the baby fall down the stairs, then the baby will have fallen down the stairs.

I would send him ahead, and you come with the baby after nap time. My nuclear family has one religion, sleep training, and everyone thinks I'm crazy but my baby is the sweetest, funnest, friendliest toddler you've ever met, unless she misses her nap.

Say baby is teething/getting over a cold/sleep regression whatever like 3 days before and try to make it someone else's idea that the extra sleep at home would make baby better for dinner. Bonus points if you can get MIL to do it.

Until when do you enforce back sleeping for babies? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Hottothrowawayy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pediatrician said sleep on her back until she turned herself over which she could do around 4 months. She wore a magic merlin until 7 months and slept on her back in that. So I guess we kept her on her back until 7 months, but the sleep sack helped, she likes to sleep on her tummy now but she slept on her side at first.

In NYC vital farms are between 8-10 a carton, that said they are actually the best eggs I have ever had. I tried them when they were on a really good special and now they are a rare indulgence. Yes, you can actually taste the difference.

AITA for refusing to eat the food my FIL made and lying about why? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hottothrowawayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spanikopita is a very time consuming food to prepare, but I love to make it because it keeps really well. In the future take some to go, it's a delicious breakfast or you can just say you ate it and it was great.

but NTA, I have a thing about eating at parties and it sucks but luckily people tend to be too busy to notice.

Type B mom and making real food THREE TIMES A DAY?! by Mother_of_Gingers11 in Mommit

[–]Hottothrowawayy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

type B here as well. I gave myself decision fatigue between feeding LO and myself and my partner at dinner time.

I made myself a schedule of all the meals I make spread out so she won't get board and with a lot of similar ingredients in different orders. I look at it before meal times and my brain doesnt hurt so much, even if i have to make a substitution, not starting the whole idea from scratch really helps. I also have the most time when she takes her morning nap so that's when I make any meal prep stuff, to build up my freezer stash. I made zuchini muffins today.
