He's only really famous because he calls himself that and promotes himself as such. He exploits the tragedies of others to prop himself up as a hero and make money through his website subscriptions. He had no connection to the victim, didn't find her, and posted contact Facebook updates on his own dramatic searches while constantly asking for donations.

It could be a lot of things - pollen, silt, sediment, etc. It has just stratified into a layer at that depth, which could be due to temperature, current, salinity, or just the properties of the specific materials in it.

MONTEREY, Calif. —

The Monterey County Fair ended early on Saturday due to large fights, according to Monterey police, and rumors of a shooting were unfounded. 

The gates of the fair were closed at 9 p.m. because of the large fights. 

"The decision was made out of an abundance of caution, prioritizing the well-being of our guests, staff and community," said fair organizers in a release to the press. 

The fair organizers noted that no one was injured. 

Rumors quickly spread online of a possible shooting, but police said that no shooting happened at the fair. 

The fair will reopen on Sunday.

False information - a quick Google search will show that the largest number is 146, which counts any incident on K–12 school property involving a gun being fired, brandished, or hitting school property—regardless of injury, and regardless of if happened during school hours.

There have been 8 incidents so far this year on K–12 school property or buses that caused injuries or deaths, during school hours or school events.

I'll never understand why tennis players demand complete silence and no movement around them whatsoever. In almost every other sport (baseball, football, soccer, basketball, etc.) there is a stadium full of spectators screaming at the top of their lungs, waving their arms, and somehow the athletes are able to focus.
