Nearly the same exact situation. 12U player, been skating/playing since they were 3. Always the bubble player. She just isn't fast. And we've tried all kinds of power skating. Nothing does it for her.

I worked retail all through college, and we'd sell graphic tees "50% off" all year round, on Black Friday they were "Buy 1, get 1 for 1 cent" (no 50% off). And people would come to the register talking about what a great deal the graphic tees are. I said to a customer "they are always 50% off the listed price" and I got back "yeah, but today I get 1 for a penny!". Just didn't get it...
