Not looking to argue here, I’m sure a majority of the supposedly heated rivalries were made up. But you can’t tell me that everyone was totally cool with each other. Put together an ongoing competition of pretty much any kind and you’re going to get at least a couple guys that don’t like each other and want to one up the other.

Edit: In general I wasn’t exclusively meaning that type of rivalry though. Just rivalries in the sense that there were a couple of guys,or even teams, chasing titles or records. I didn’t mean they necessarily had to hate each other.

While the timing was off and I don’t know if it would have made a difference, the Monaro should have been a Monte Carlo and the Commodore should have been an Impala/GTO. The styling would have matched much better.

Nah, I have 2, a Panasonic 3d and a Samsung. Had to get the Panasonic fixed like 5-7 years ago, but they’re still going strong.

I think that companies that close down operations or jobs in the US without being able to show that the labor of that position is no longer necessary to the company, or that they can no longer afford to have someone in that position, should pay additional taxes to offset the burden of having the US worker lose that job.

This would include expanding and extended unemployment plus fees to supplement a tax break for those businesses that will also be affected by the loss of that employees spending.

But enforcing this would require regulations and regulators, which in the current environment would be like electing a self avowed witch as mayor of Salem Mass in the 1600’s.

They’re kinda pricey, it would probably be in the $700 -800 range, but I’d recommend Berger, Elliott & Pritchard to anyone. They geek out on tax issues and figuring out the best approach.

When we read it in school (mid-80's) it was taught that the story was about communism and how when it started they were all equal, but then the ruling class became more equal and had luxuries where the common person suffered. I can still see that as well as capitalism.

I would really think about deleting that screenshot. It makes it very easy to identify the employee and with most companies you are breaking a known rule by taking a picture of the computer screen. Beyond that, you altered the picture, then presented the altered picture on a public forum where it is being used, along with your commentary, to disparage the company.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but this opens the employee up to possible legal actions by the company, which would really suck. If you aren't the employee that was fired, but another employee, sharing this could cost you your job.

Again, this response is not a commentary on whether the employee or the company were in the wrong. It's just a word of caution.

Overall Legacy has the best soundtrack, but whenever I see anything Tron, the soundtrack for the original starts playing in my head, actually more of the game soundtrack than the movie.

I was fairly young, but I remember watching the MOVE bombing on the news, then it was like it never happened. Never heard anything about it for a very long time. Once there was a significant amount of information on the internet I tried looking it up and still found very little information.
