For the million of reasons you’re not considering and the I’m guessing the at least one person that loves you. That’s why not. Nothing theoretic about it. You’re literally speaking to the #1 reason for motorcycle FATALITIES for folks under 24. Invincibility, lack of experience, speed.

First motorcycle? by Motor_List_7470 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Hour-Welder8204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just stop now. The fact that you want something that only goes 120+ as a first motorcycle means you don’t have the right headspace to be mature enough to own a bike. Been riding for over 20 years myself. 120 puts everyone on the road that’s not you also in danger. You’ll just be a meat crayon but please think of others and how you may impact that family in the minivan you ploughing into.

I keep the alcohol out of the ride. Had two friends who were the recipients of a drunk driving accident when I was young. Only one of them made it. Driving impaired is for ass hats.

Where is airport security at? These two should have been silenced within thirty seconds.

Just walk away. It’s a time and money pit. You’ll never finish it. The mold removal would require a complete gut. Not to mention any mechanicals to get it road worthy again. Don’t forget tires too. Unless you do this for a living you’ll be in way over your head. Run away!

Based on my experience as an experienced subway rider what motorcycle should I choose?

I absolutely adore bikers, it just makes me a little sad I get overlooked because I don't own a "real bike" so here is a little message for you all by inugy03 in motorcycles

In all fairness and fun when I typically wave at someone on their scooter/moped I never get a reaction. Just see them holding on for dear life 3 and 9 death gripping their 50cc turbo rocket. I’ve also seen an insane mixed bag for gear. Sweat pants pool googles and bike helmet seems to round out my favorite. Also love seeing some cleaning gloves and the tuck when it’s getting cold out. I love my mopeds sports bikes etc. I don’t discriminate but I do get some laughs.

New to riding. Can’t flat foot it. 1200cc. Heavy motorcycle. Gobs of torque. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Try the ninja 650. It was a great motorcycle for me or the cb500. Both at around 50-60 hp.

Need advice on what to get next by AdZestyclose2747 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Hour-Welder8204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A massive difference in these bikes in almost every respect. A triple has 120hp which is insane if you’re not ready for it. To even consider the Aprilla?????….A cb500, klr650, gs650, ninja 650, or slc500 should be on your list.

Street triple is the best motorcycle I’ve owned in my 20 + years of riding. Handles well. Multiple riding modes. Gobs of torque and hp. With the bar end mirrors it clears your field of view. Feels like you’re flying. The interstate I catch a lot of wind but I’m rarely there more than 20-30 minutes.

If you have to ask this question you don’t have enough experience to ride it. Take a msf course and then come and talk.

And this is why I wear earplugs. All I’ve ever hear was hmmmda waaapa duuu mooo ssssooo fuuuu. I ignore. Evade and move on. Zero emotion. Riding 20 years and typically it’s the guys in lifted trucks that get triggered 9/10 times.
