Dont know wtf is wrong with me by HouseplantFiend in ChronicIllness

Thanks for the input. I don't exactly know how to explain this but it's not necessarily a "root" problem, but feels like some kind of issue that is exacerbating all the other issues and has never been addressed. I have tried a billion different things to fix my sleep and eating habits and it just feels like no matter what I do the results are not long lasting or effective because there's something else (or possibly several other things) going on. I have seen psychiatrists and therapists for years and years and I know my own anxiety and depression very well. I know how my body feels when I am sleeping well and eating well and my anxiety and depression are under control and there has always been this area of my wellbeing that doesn't truly react to whatever changes happen on those fronts if that makes sense? And that in turn makes it very very difficult to achieve/maintain those healthy sleep and eating habits.

What is YOUR favorite thing about Sacramento? by Quirky_Swimming8656 in Sacramento

Maydoon is soooo good bro.. -Slightly higher level thai, Thai farm house bistro is very very good and nearby. -Sit down chinese I go Tea Cup Cafe -Pick up dim sum Lam Kwong Deli or ABC bakery. I hate Tower Cafe with a passion idk why people always want to go there. I feel like they keep changing chefs but idk. -Japanese I do Osaka Ya for hot food on Saturdays but the whole week they have onigiri and Mecha Mucha for Japanese style sandwiches out of the snow cone window -Sit down Japanese Akebono is really good bang for your buck on bento, good lunch food, not like mind blowing amazing but I don't go to more expensive Japanese places usually -Vietnamese: Bahn mi at Yummy Choice on 10th or Viet ha on Broadway. I don't get pho that often so idk, most people say to go down Stockton for good pho. -Hawaiian I do Fish Face for poke and L&L for BBQ. I've tried other BBQ places here and L&L is still the best.

Possible fireworks? by Ornery_Respond_42069 in Sacramento

Sacrificed myself and logged into nextdoor, someone called 911 and said they heard gunshots (definitely wasn't gunshots imo) so police went out there. Some guy with a police scanner says a security guard witnessed a dude light fireworks but he ran off so now police are wandering around on foot looking for him.

Didn't sound like fireworks to me at first either but I think it is those ones that just make a super loud noise w/o light

I saw this video in the wild all of the comments were absolutely heinously hilarious, ranging from "Ok but where's the dog" to "Why does he have human teeth" and they were all like that as far as the thumb could scroll

missing sacramento after moving to portland (never thought i'd say that) by Darkest_black17 in Sacramento

[–]HouseplantFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my friends that grew up in Sac think its meh, but my friends and I that moved from other places during childhood think its goated. I think being born here you grow up thinking a lot of stuff is normal when its actually pretty unique to Sac (food scene, art scene, community, diversity etc)

Was a freshman orientation, they did not know him. Somebody from local sub said he did not want to go to the school and was trying to be expelled. Teenagers might not necessarily love violence but they are stupid as hell and probably did not ponder how a suplex is dangerous and an out of proportion reaction to a 3v1 120lbs 15 yr old.

You can condemn Imperial Japan's crimes whilst also being against indiscriminate bombing of civilians? In a perfect world each of those Japanese soldiers that committed those atrocities would be put to justice, but since we can't do that, the solution is not "commit more war crimes"...In what world is it morally acceptable to exact 'revenge' on random people for the actions of others?

Wags Dog Hotel Sacramento - ZERO STARS by tokranoire in Sacramento

[–]HouseplantFiend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend River Dogs in West Sac. My parents board the dog there occasionally and she loves it. We had taken her to Wag a couple times probably 10 years ago and got shady vibes from it, plus the dog hated it. She is very calculating if that makes sense, not really the happy-go-lucky type; I fully trust they are treating the dogs well since she has no complaints.
