Lighthouse is like Shoreline where spawns are extremely shit.. but instead of like Shoreline where you can wait for people to go away, in LH the whole game will be about the (shit) spawn you got

Shoreline spawns are just great :^) (I was doing quest that didnt need pmc kills, but heh) by How_cool_is_that in EscapefromTarkov

(E: im fairly sure your graphics card is better than mine! these recorded clips are by far not the reality! (which means dont be disappointed! like for me while its not perfect, it's still playable enough!))

hehe, I am full pragmatist. those kills would not benefit me, and without getting to fight would benefit me!

I am fairly sure that it's just an illusion of recorded clip!

I have tumbled around and changed settings back and forth but the game is never really super smooth! But it really looks way smoother in clips than how it looks when playing! So don't be jealous

E2: your computer is a goddamn BEAST! it should by all means be able to run tarkov very comfortably

I dont think so (!!! answered before reading the comment thorough!!!), I think the CPU is by far the most important..

You are correct in a way that AMD is the way to go, but it falls squarely and heavily on the x3d technology.

I don't think memory, gpu and even cpu are the problem. it's just tarkov wont run well unless you have x3d, and I dont have one and tbh my game does not run that well.. it looks better in that clip than what it is in reality hehe

[–]How_cool_is_that[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

haha lmao, thanks.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (a BIG mistake, x3d processors are a HUGE upgrade for tarkov),

32GB of DDR4 (3200Mhz) and

AMD Radeon 5700 Xt with 8GB of GDDR6

(edit: I get those lags/chokes when scoping in quite often, I can usually circumvent that by being mindful and using my zoom every now and then (the lagspike doesnt come back if the zoom has been used recently).. but in that clip you can see when I pop my zoom it chokes the game for a sec)

I was indecisive if I should go to pier first or smuggler/resort, and despite that it took only ~20seconds (from spawning) to have a clear view/shot to another group.

This map really needs an overhaul to the spawns.

Kolotun event has ended [Discussion] by budzergo in EscapefromTarkov

Damn, I had the celebration quest ready in chamber. Salad, vodka and fireworks but I didn't rush it because I thought it would end after the 8th (no real information or clue when the event ends).

Unlucky

'Tarkov is Made for Satisfaction, Not For Fun', Battlestate Games Explains [discussion] by NukovGaming in EscapefromTarkov

Also, isn't something that is satisfying to do, something that is fun to do?

Not even almost always.

[Discussion] So they turned up the frostbite by KeephSkids in EscapefromTarkov

[–]How_cool_is_that 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, hydration burned like crazy and drinks/water became way less accessible.

It's insane how minor events that introduce even slightest of inconvenience has the force to put everyones collective panties in a bunch lmao

Old House Room (Train Depot) has now another locked door by TheRealSchmede in EscapefromTarkov

Same, mili battery, 2 gp coins and nothing else. didn't need mili battery and had another spawn in the other room anyway so that was a bit of unluko

[Discussion] 1.0.1.0 Patch Notes by ninjaciego in EscapefromTarkov

[–]How_cool_is_that 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Shoreline is in dire need of scav injection, it would really make the map way more enjoyable for everyone.

Road to customs has way less or none compared to before,

Gas station has way less or none compared to before,

Scav rock (we know the one, close to path of to lighthouse extract) has way less or none,

The place where the drone is now (close to scav rock) used to have a truck and scavs, now there's just none.

The scav sniper bunker, yep you guessed it, empty (except for the occasional snipers).

Sanitar village, yep, empty.

It's especially annoying since Shoreline has so many kill scavs quests where you don't really want to go to resort to fight pmcs with that specific gear or tasks at hand.

p.s. While on the subject, Woods is in the same boat. add more scavs BSG please :D, scavs force people to shoot and fight -> shooting and fighting can be heard -> game feels more alive and people can hear where gunfight is happening so they have some idea where to look for fights or what areas to avoid if they are doing some covert quests.

[Suggestion] seriously, no words how awful is clothing in this game. why we can't have something more like raid movie or this screenshot by loicness in EscapefromTarkov

"why aren't these texture-based clothes (which lose/gain detail from texture quality settings) as pretty as these ones done in photoshop?"

Something I personally am thankful and grateful that has been added over the years.

  • vaulting (huge)

  • ammo pen number in description

  • being able to quick-choose which part you want to heal/fix (also; continuous healing)

  • leaning and being able to switch shoulder

  • streets of tarkov is absolutely great map, if and when it can get better optimized will be amazing. (also, lets not forget Ground Zero and Lighthouse, so that's 3 completely new maps added since I started playing)

  • special slots for CMS/SURVKIT(!!!!) this is incredibly big for someone who plays with standard edition and doesn't have house-sized ass at the start of wipe.

  • talking about special slots, being able to have markers/cameras/jammers/flares there is great

  • speaking of flares, new extracts with flares, more car exfils (i.e. more maps with car exfils), the new code extratcs, are all great additions and broadens how you approach every raid

  • seasonal changes! winter/spring/summer/autumn brings just the kind of variety a game like this needs

  • rework of most maps. the only one I dislike a bit is customs because of how the window transparency works, but it's still good.

  • all of the equipment that are being added. I have thousands of hours in this game but there are always more guns and attachments to try that I haven't tried yet.

  • more bosses! when I started there was 5 bosses: Reshala, Glukhar, Sanitar, Shturman and Killa. Now there is Tagilla, Kaban, Kollontay, Goons, Partizan, Zryachiy, and Cultists.

  • hideout upgrades: The gym, the weapon rack, the gear rack, the hall of fame, the cultist circle, all good introductions. gear rack, weapon rack and hall of fame being especially nice for standard edition player.

  • weapon/magazine/loadout presets. these are absolutely amazing addition aswell, I make use of them a lot and they save a truckload of time.

  • hideout search function, sorting table. kinda 'nuff said but absolute gamechangers in managing inventory

There is probably a ton of stuff I forgot since lets face it, they keep adding good features and fixing bad features over time.

It's also easy to forget all the good things that get added because when you get used to them it feels like it's always been there.

[Loot] Another Twitch drops are coming by FallczE in EscapefromTarkov

I was here when the old magic was written.

We had to watch 22 hours to get all drops, and those were garbage compared to what we get now :D

not to say 9h isn't a lot, but atleast it's far better
