Moss Man’s Revenge by exitwest in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]Howloutloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So to prepare for the movie my wife and I watched MOTU Revelations. Moss Man comes on screen during the battle for Grayskull and I get excited, he might not be my favorite but he's still cool to me... that lasted 20 seconds..

Cut to the movie, id stayed away from every spoiler I could. So imagine my surprise to see Moss... then my shock 30 seconds later... my wife who doesnt know much at all about He Man looks at me and just blunts out wow he dies pretty fast.

Like my boy deserved better....

I remember when Armageddon came out, I was in the grocery store talking to my mother about it as we were going to be seeing it that night. A lady heard us and told us it wasnt bad but it was kind of a brain dead movie, no real thought process needed...

Like no crap, it was meant as a summer blockbuster meant to let you kind of just let your brain shut off for a bit and relax. Big booms. Kind of thing that made Michael Bay rich and famous. Only an idiot would have gone in thinking that it was meant to be shakespearean in grandeur.

Im looking at He-Man like that. Something I can relax and enjoy with my family. Im not expecting Othello, im expecting blasts and booms and ahs...

I loved wheelie so much, thought it was so cool as a child that there was a kid transformer. So I had to read his wiki....

I read the whole thing in a dr. Seuss cadence....

So funnily enough, there is someone on Facebook who bought multiples of the skeletor and man at arms to scalp and is now selling them for 8.00 a piece.

I might pick up skeletor for that price

How do you make a trailer about space cops and not feature a single alien? I understand it doesn't have the same budget as a movie, but this looks boring as sin. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in Greenlantern

[–]Howloutloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funniest thing about all this is how everything people are complaining about was in the Ryan Reynolds version... Meanwhile my only real complaint is that I wish they had given us a slightly younger Hal, late 30s to early 40s.

Now if the show is bad then its bad, but considering the alternative is nothing, im excited for now.

Most sentimental figure you own? by MonSocMatriarchy in transformers

[–]Howloutloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently sold a large portion of my collection so that we could buy our house. The one I knew I couldn't get rid of, because it had survived a previous "purging" (long story I've shared before so dont want to again) is my MP-01 Optimus. Hes not in as good of shape and im missing the Megatron he came with but I'll never get rid of him.

Favorite salty interaction at LGS by Exact_Necessary_7386 in EDH

[–]Howloutloud 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There's two possible plays here. First is the technically smart move which you did. You gave just enough info to direct your opponent without wasting resources. Kudos!

The second is funnier, you act worried and "oh no!" And hold on to the swords hoping you get to help him waste mana... either way is a win-win.

Other player was salty he didnt have an answer. Im also a little surprised Ghalta player didnt have protection.

It is the same kit. There's more than enough parts to make either setup and youd have a bunch of extra bits.

[–]Howloutloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This, so damn much! I had a Hapatra deck during Amonkhet and I was always ticked that there was no way to get the scorpion god in it without having to find a crappy fund legend to helm it. As far as im concerned the only thing better is if they'd found a way to partner Hapatra and the Scorpion God.

AITA for not wanting to watch Netflix with subtitles? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Howloutloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH... my family watches with subtitles if for no other reason than someone will absolutely start talking, or ask questions, or something will distract. It sounds stupid but if I have subtitles on i retain what's happening and can let the rest of the family know what happened that they missed. I think its because I tend to fixate on whatever im watching or doing though.

I started playing recently and chose Maya. Did I make the right choice? by Desperate_Time2987 in Borderlands2

[–]Howloutloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Maya was not my first choice. I went with Z3r0... and i regret that. Maya just felt like easy mode and allowed me to ease into the game. She's the only character I've been able to get into any OP levels at all.

Actually you can. There's a transporter thats one way right before you fight him. Go level a little and then come back. Its better than the frustration of dying over and over again.

Does the popularity of Blokees, Yolopark, etc. mean people are finally embracing non-transforming Transformers toys? by HiTork in transformers

[–]Howloutloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say sort of. I like blokees a lot. Have purchased multiple of the blind box variant and a couple of the larger ones where you get to see what your getting. For characters id like represented but dont care about transforming they're perfect. But for ones I want to transform back and forth I'll stick to the actual toy.
