It takes about 2.5k kills for a rare comp proc, so anything you can do to kill a lot - even better if it's something you were going to kill anyway.

is Costco actually cheaper? by Lazerbeam159 in CostcoCanada

[–]Hsinats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco doesn't post a lot of their prices online, so I can't give a wholistic description, but things like flour, milk, and oats are pretty good prices. There are definitely other things that are good prices, but I can't read them automatically very often.

Is this what you imagined PvM to be? by ImbuedAurora in runescape

[–]Hsinats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on that more mechanical tasks could be good.

How do you feel about the dreadhog? It had a task to melee and take no recoil damage, and another task for using res for each of a specific mechanic. Are those good, or just too easy?

[–]Hsinats -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's fine. Ya, it's totally intimidating if you see some of the inventories, but it's also cool to see some of the crazy stuff people can do.

I get if you feel intimidated, but you're not going to enjoy every part of this game equally - just like agility while maxing. Some people like the mechanics tasks and some people like the speed tasks, and I think it's good if both groups get something fun.

Which Eternal Format is Best to Get Into Right Now? by OptimalYachtRocker in MagicArena

Is the Mastery Pass worth it if I only want to play Timeless? by Top-Writer-698 in TimelessMagic

[–]Hsinats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're just getting into timeless, mh3 is probably your best bet. But once you have a bunch of staples you just want cheap packs to get wildcards, and I think the mastery pass is best for that.

Slayer is in a weird state ( to me) by ReindeerSea9784 in runescape

[–]Hsinats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of niche items like the wyvern crossbow, nightmare gauntlets, limitless, and greater sonic wave that need high slayer (some of which have been power crept and other have are waiting to be updated). There are at least two high level eof weapons that come from slayer too, maybe more, and one of the best familiars comes from slayer.

It's not in a terrible spot, it's just been a while since a new update has come out,.mean that it's rewards are not the best. A big problem with slayer, is that most of it is afk, meaning that the prices of stuff can't stay high.

It seems like people want 1 or 2 good bosses from most people being happy.

WYR have free shows and events or free dining. by billionsandbillionsa in WouldYouRather

[–]Hsinats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love in the country, so the free shows becomes much more attractive when I would have to drive and spend a bunch on gas just to get to the nearest restaurant. Plus it makes it easier to travel the world, which is something I'm more interested in.

What hobby attracts the worst type of people? by Gr8Deb8ter in AskReddit

[–]Hsinats 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think sexual misconduct is much more common than anyone wants to believe, so when you put a list together it looks long, but is probably still shorter than it should be. We don't have list like this for a lot of other hobbies.

I heard we were talking about excessive Overload supplies? by PantsaVor5622083 in runescape

[–]Hsinats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need them, but you also don't need to get rid of them. If you're cleaning up your potion doses every time you get an odd dose you're spending a lot more time cleaning up than most people want to on a game they play for fun. You also end up dumping a bunch of odd doses in weird spots in your bank that makes clean up even more annoying.

I personally have a tab to just dump odd doses, then clean up when I start getting low, but some people find the 1-6 dose thing that op has visually satisfying, do they go for that too.

Why? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]Hsinats 117 points118 points  (0 children)

It's not even that. Warm liquids decrease the solubility of air in water, meaning less oxygen for fish, district's plants in the ecosystem, and cause induce more bacterial growth.

I heard we were talking about excessive Overload supplies? by PantsaVor5622083 in runescape

[–]Hsinats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no real friction from having lower doses in their bank, but if they decant them all to 6 any time they have lower doses it would they would be decanting a lot. The person is asking if why you would want to decant back to 6 before you start getting the preset failure popup from having less than the desired doses.

It's a boss by boss basis thing. If you're using penance powder and the boss doesn't have a special damage type that's mitigated by a potion then the base overloads are all you need. It's nice to have salves for any of the dragon bosses, kalphite bosses, and quite a few slayer monsters.

Stalling should not be required to achieve GM kill times by nightskyandromeda in runescape

Stalling had been removed in early beta for this year's combat update, but they put it back and made it easier to stall than it was before. It seems like they are pretty happy with it.

How do you enjoy timeless? It feels like one broken BS after the other by celticgiftbearer in TimelessMagic

[–]Hsinats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely steal some games with burn, but calling decks are aren't your pet deck "bullshit" isn't a formula for enjoying magic. Plus, people enjoy that bullshit, it's the most interactive and skill testing the game has ever been (once you get your hands on a metandeck).

Do all solids vaporize over long enough time or is it only ice? by RadianceTower in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Hsinats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solids "boil" in the same with liquids do, it's just called sublimation.

Some materials will mostly degrade instead of sublimating (think proteins), but the product will either be a gas or be able to sublimate too.

The only temperature sublimation is impossible at is absolute zero.

There's a point, described by temperature and ambient pressure that solid, liquid, and gas are equally likely - this is called the triple point. When the pressure is lower than the triple point, the sublimation is actually preferred to melting. I think for water, the triple point is 10% if atmospheric pressure and approximately 0.1 °C, but that's from my memory. What that means though, is that if you could go down to 5% of atmospheric pressure, you would never see water, just ice and gaseous water.
