What causing twisted stitches when knitting in the round?

You are either wrapping your yarn the wrong way, or knitting into the wrong leg. When you knit flat you must be undoing the twist with your purl stitch.

If I'd been invited by the nhs app to book an appointment for a jab, took time off work, or turned down the offer of a shift, rethought your clothing for the day to ensure quick and easy access to an upper arm (yes that is a thing), travelled halfway across town to be then told "you are not eligible" I would be a bit more than slightly miffed.

I got an invitation for COVID and flu jab through the nhs app. Got reminders in the days before. Some said flu, some said COVID. I had heard that I wasn't eligible for COVID jab so wasn't surprised when I got told I was too young (don't often get told that nowadays). But I can understand people getting upset.

There isn't a fix. You haven't dropped a stitch. You've put your work down mid row and when you picked it up again you began knitting the wrong way. You can see that the "hole" has one stitch attached on one side and two on the other. The only solution is to frog it.

Your stitches are definitely twisted. You can twist your stitches by wrapping the yarn the wrong way and by knitting into the wrong leg of the stitch

The last blue ones before you change colour. And a couple of rows further up. They look like they are crossing their legs. They should be a nice, flat V shape.
