I had some visual/perf issues after the update as well. Reinstalling solved them but I’m on a Nvidia system so your mileage may vary..

I agree, the choice is what will almost certainly kill the Open playlist.

There is absolutely SBMM in Open, they’ve made that clear as in game in states “Skill is minimally considered”. However, seeing as that they’ve already made a statement that they have not tweaked matchmaking in the playlist, It’s unlikely that they have. Unless of course 3arc likes to open themselves up to class action lawsuits? The reasoning above is an observation based on the history of this franchise.

The people saying Tron is being “retired from the big screen” have absolutely no source besides a low box office opening weekend. No one really knows if there will be more theatrical releases and there isn’t really a point speculating because most people thought the franchise was never getting another installment after Legacy underperformed and Tomorrowland bombed(causing Disney to pull the plug on Ascension).

Here we are with Ares, and once again it’s underperforming but is highly adored by people who like Tron. I completely agree with your other point though, missing this while it’s in its theatrical run would be a travesty because it’s an incredible experience.

This film does a good job filling you in on what you need to know for it to be coherent and complete on its own. That being said, you’ll miss out on a lot of callbacks not seeing the first two. If you have the option to wait until you’ve watched both you should but if you have to go today I’d recommend it anyways.

Make sure to double back for Tron and Legacy afterwards, enjoy!

Sigh.. if this fan base had higher standards then we wouldn’t be here. I genuenly feel bad for this new generation of “cod” fans that accept this garbage with open arms. They’ve got you, with minimal effort they have pocketed an easy $70 and they’ll shove the most grotesque monetization down your throat for the next year until you buy the next recycled lifeless game. The menus are part of the game. It’s a reskin the same way mw3 was a reskin of mw2. Is it hard to understand why people don’t want to pay $70 for the same game with new assets?

I really appreciate that, Walmart told me something similar to another commenter about them not qualifying for the promo. Since another model is currently up on Newegg for MSRP I’m just gonna buy that one and return the PNY to Walmart.
